For PSP and PS3. Only thing that sux is $9.99. It doesn't suck from the context that I can take RE wherever I go now, but it does suck when all the other PS1 games are 6 bucks. I would pay 10 bucks for FF7 in a heartbeat though. I've been dying to relplay Jill Sandwich though, so I may still get this.

Symphony of the Night is $10 too. It appears like they're $5.99 unless they are classics, in which case they're $9.99. I still think it's a fair price. If the Virtual Console can get away with charging $8 for 16-bit era games, $10 for PS1 games like Resident Evil and Castlevania is pretty good.

Yeah, I agree with you. And 10 bucks for a portable RE1 is not bad in the least. Might pick it up tonight if Gunstar Heroes ain't out tonight.

Same here. And I bought the Gamecube version, too!

Windy, does it have the cinema scenes and everything?
I think I remember there was some controversy over the first game because Chris was smoking in the opening cinema.
Of all things to be worried over -smoking!

I can't imagine going back and playing this game again. I think it's great that it's coming out, but I got spoiled after RE4.

It better have the crappy acting. This is the PS1 director's cut, not the GC remake. While I appreciate the gamecube's effort, I think I would harry have a Jill Sandwich it I am going to be reliving that game.

And I hope is has that horrendous opening movie.. "NO.... DON'T GO!!"

I'm tempted, but I've still got the disc for the Director's Cut, plus the Gamecube remake.

I do hope though, that with the first one released, they can fast-track the PSN release of 2 and 3. I've been wanting to play 3 again for a long, long time but my PS1 copy up and vanished.

Yeah, I've found that problem. 2 and 3 aren't too bad, but the first game is so slow paced compared to what followed, I can't get into it.

See and I'm the other way around, as much as I love RE4 and 5 (especially 5), I don't find them to be the same game anymore. I miss this old format and I think if my character is going to control like a tank it should be in this old school format and not tempting thirdperson controls but not fully implementing them.

But does Barry still say, "I hope that's not Chris' blood."?

I wish I still had my PS1 disc. More than anything, I want this so I can play it on my PSP, but only if the acting sucks.

    i beleive so!

i'm actually playing through 0 and 1 remake on the gc now, i actually wish game still used these prerendered bg's, there's something about them that generates a certain kind of atmosphere that i think the resi games lost.

I totally agree. 4 and 5 are amazing games, but just don't feel like RE anymore.

I still have my disc of the Director's Cut, but I'll probably buy this anyway because I want to be able to take the game with me anywhere.

I've been playing old RE2 lately and I really hope they put out 2 and 3 for the network as well.

I'd maybe buy RE2. I liked that one much more than the first game. Just wish it had the crisper graphics of the N64 version.

yeah 2 was the best by far. something about cities overrun with zombies make a much more interesting setting.
