It's nice to see a SyFy original with a premise that's inline with the network's budget restrictions.
Just wanted to post that, yeah. It was a Dark Horse comic. I am glad they made him look more like the XCOM2 Sectoids (albeit with 4 arms). Looks cooler.
Man, this is so much fun. The humor is great. I like that they made him more of the cool emotionless (or so he likes to think) aliens, he isn't telepathic either like in the comics. Was a scientist and apparently whatever device he lost was supposed make mankind extinct. He also namedropped the Greys, so that's not his species. I like how he relates to the various people and how (usually via circumstances) gets out of any pickle without them really remarking how strangely he behaves. The psychology session with the mayor while he images how to kill the kid who can see his true form was hilarious.
I didn’t see there was already a thread for this show, but I’m just going to chime in that I already love this show, and it seems like it was tailor made for my sense of humor
Looks like they were taken down. Luckily for me I recorded it on my DVR so I'll be watching it tomorrow morning. jD001
What, they uploaded the whole episode on youtube? Seems to me some associate made a mistake and instead of a trailer put the whole thing up.
The show is amazing. I've always been a fan of Alan's work which is why I gave this a chance. So glad I did.
Yeah it’s not too uncommon. I know HBO usually does that with the first episode of each season of Hard Knocks. Nickelodeon did it with their Are You Afraid of the Dark reboot as well.
Loved Harry asking the girl for the dinner date. "What time is dinner? I'm free from five to midnight." "Six. Oh course you are free. I wasn't going to pay you. That would make you a prostitute..."
I just finished last week’s episode, and I really have to commend this show for making me laugh out loud every week. I hate award shows, but it would be criminal if Alan Tudyk doesn’t win an Emmy for best actor in a comedy series for this role. He is just so believable as an alien who has never interacted with people before, and it’s even more incredible when you see him in the flashback where he plays the guy his character is impersonating. Wash is still my favorite role of his, but I could see this coming close if they maintain the same level of quality throughout each season and if SyFy doesn’t cancel it prematurely
