When Bumblebee partners up with Dani on a mission, Blades feels left out. This episode is listed as the 23rd episode of the season at tfwiki as I believe 2 other episodes are schedule to air on "special days" or so I've read. A Bumblebee episode in which Blades feels outcast, feels like a must see.
-Blades is stoked his BFF ("Bot Friend Forever") Bumblebee is returning to Griffin Rock. Chase says it's still 3 days until then. Cody brings some helium for Blades so he can inflate balloons for Bee's arrival. Danni asks Cody to mail something for her. Frankie shows up and is eager to test some new Ski-Sneakers invented by her dad and Heatwave is equally eager to help given his 3rd mode. As they test them, a tidal wave appears. Intro. -The kids hurry back to the floating lab as Heatwave quickly retrieves them while the lab is hit by the wave. Doc Greene may need Frankie's blow dryer. Meanwhile, the day has arrived and Blades has the place decorated. Chase has prepared a rhyming speech where as Boulder has drawn a picture of Optimus & Bumblebee. Bumblebee arrives and apparently there is no time for everything Blades has planned. Bumblebee plays a holographic message from Optimus that Bumblebee has been sent to find a Cybertronian relic only the power of a Prime can deactivate. Bumblebee has attached a sensor to know when the artifact is near. Danni is denied to go with Blades because her license to fly has expired and Cody didn't mail her renewal as she requested. Danni thinks Bumblebee is a sweet ride while Blades tries to socialize with Bee about past adventures with Danni. The team appears to so far be unable to find this relic. Captain Shaw calls in to Cody about a whale swimming dangerously close to the Griffin Rock ferry. -The ferry is starting to sink and people have gone overboard. Chief Burns dispatches Heatwave & Blades only to take care of the boat. Danni offers to show Bee around the firehouse since he was last there. Boulder & Graham seem puzzled about why the whale is so close to shore. Heatwave & Cade are rescuing people from the water. Blades is upset hauling the boat to shore may take too long. The Greenes & Cody are examining the oddities over the water and finding that Madeline Pynch requested permits for offshore based activites. Bee is racing on the Burnses training course and setting a new record in the process. Chief/Chase and Cade/Heatwave attempt to overtake the new record. Blades is becoming increasingly upset over Bee and Danni hanging out together. Optimus appears in the firehouse saying that Blades is the only bot he requires for a mission as Cody is in awe too. Boulder, Chase, Heatwave, & Bumblebee are racing when a sinkhole suddenly appears. Chase falls in as the others divert. Chase is hanging on in robot mode citing he was assured by Boulder that the course was up to code just as he lets go. -Chase is plummeting when he saved by Heatwave's firehose. The others seem alarmed by the appearance of the sinkhole which Graham says is soggy. Optimus reveals to Blades the relic is activated by man made technology which is liquidating the rock beneath the island. Doc Greene is going to forward data to Optimus. Meanwhile, similar water erosion emergencies are occurring all over the island. Blades states that he think Optimus is bigger than Elvis of whom Optimus is unaware of. Optimus reminds Blades that on a team there should be no individual jealousies. They find an offshore platform which belongs to Pynch. The mayor evidently didn't want her to use it. Chase is diverting traffic around the water gushers emerging from buildings in town while Boulder saves a young boy from a water gusher beneath a water fountain. Danni is sinking in quicksand as Bumblebee watches on. Optimus activates the matrix underwater, retrieves the relic and declares the immediate disaster over. Optimus says he is slowing Blades down and releases his hold on Blades' cable wishing him luck. Bee saves Danni with a thrown clothesline and Blades thanks him for being there.

Nice to see Heatwave's boat form again...and the fact that he can change between it and his firetruck form without having to go to bot mode. Blades being the fanboy again is still so adorable. Looks like Heatwave expanded his driving track lol...and added a loop! Optimus coming out of the shadows was kinda creepy lol...especially his voice! Interesting tho...wonder what will become of Pynch's drilling platform...and if they'll find more relics (hope not really, it'll be Prime all over again :< )
Blades was 'schooled' by Optimus. Teamwork is today's word children. Loved the episode, figured we'd get a race track with a few RB's to drive on it.... Now if only Chase could learn to 'float' like a Bee, not drop like a rock. I was a little surprised that Blades didn't get an extra mode in this episode, but a solid episode for the most part. It would be nice to see some impact, such as Pynch getting pinched for building the drill anyway.
Optimus used the Matrix in this? *looks at the gif* and it looks a lot like the G1 Matrix. Cool triva!
Not exactly related to this ep...but a drawing I'm working on. Once I'm done cleaning up the lines, I'll get around to coloring it.
Probably my favorite episode of RB to date. Thanks for posting the Youtube link. Poor Blades- everybody has felt like that at some point before and it's hard to keep a poker face.

This episode was adorable, but considering it's a Blades episode that was to be expected. I loved the whole exchange between Blades and Optimus involving Elvis.
