Crawfish races??? (well, it's can't always be lobsters I suppose) Cody is dressed in mustache, top hat and cape... he's a villain... not. Blades says cops catch bad guys when they go undercover... Cody tells Chase he can watch the old detective movies they have. Our fave two crook brothers are back in business.... or trying to be... they have hoverboards to escape....
The bad boys hooked the bots.... and hovered away. Ouch.... Chase gets out and starts after them.... but is stopped again... Boulder gets his servos on the control and pulls the cables... they're loose. Crooks have a red rock...and giving it a 'test drive' .... it's glowing... they've developed a 'tech wrecker' if it has circuits then it won't work... Yikes. Chase is watching the PI movies....with his PI fedora.... HIS HAT IS GORGEOUS. (How do the bots get hats that fit?) Dani wonders where he got his hat.... Chase says 'the internet' "one size fits all" Bad Boys take Prescott's mobile sat. com. from his van... Chase is staying in PI character... 50's style. Chase and the gang are trying to trip up the Bad Boys. HW and Blades are cutting them off.... Chase and Chief are trying to block them now.... Ooopps... they're headed toward Chief....and not slowing down..... Whooooooooaaa!
All the bots are behind Chief....and the crooks are foiled.... ...but they get out of their car and jump in Chase.....and actually start him up and drive away... (tech wrecker?) What's his 20? Chase won't answer Chief... oh noes.. HW...the Chase he knows would NEVER go rogue!! Chase... transforms and continues his PI monologue... his comm is blocked...he can't talk to Chief.... Crooks to Chase... telling him what to do.... awwww.. they have him hopping on one foot...and jumping like a chicken... and repeating what they say. Now they want Chase to steal Floatium from the lab.... Chase back in PI mode.... He knows he's in deep. He's going along with their plan... wants to see what the crooks do. HW, Boulder and Chief are telling them to stand down... Chase says Miles and Evan rule, The Burns' drool. Awww. The bots don't like this Chase... Chief figures something is 'up!' so does Cody. HW says Chase wouldn't be the first Cybertronian to change sides... whoa. Cody says Chase is undercover... The crooks are using the tech wrecker.... they've shielded their garage and Chase. Now they're going shopping.
All around town items not shielded... are shutting down, fizzing out. Cody assures the bots that Chase will be back.... Kade says Bee can take his place. Dani reports a strange red light outside... the tech wrecker at work. Kade is busy with his game.... until the tech wrecker wipes out his high score. Chase finally gets thru to the gang... and explains.... Blades missed Chase.... Boulder believed in him... HW is still cranky. The crooks are ripping off the stores, lots of loot in those bags.... The Burns Team have to head off on razors... Foot power for the win. The 4 bots are under the one green shield....walking...not enough room to transform. RB Walk to the Rescue....LEFT, RIGHT, LEFT, RIGHT. Dani catches up to the brothers first..... Chief says they're kicking it old school. HW is humiliated. Left, Right, Left, Right.... Chase suggests they find a solution by pretending they're villains... then they could figure out how to stop the tech wrecker....Floatium comes in handy.. floating bots to the rescue.... they get to the tech wrecker...and shut it down. Blades says flying not so bad with all of them there... PI CHASE:.....LIKE A SWIMMING POOL IN WINTER...THE CASE IS CLOSED. Pretty good episode.
Loved this episode. Chase shone brightly with the spotlight today and I continue to wonder why Evan & Miles haven't been escorted off of Griffin Rock at this point.
They get put away for a few months, then get back out....Chief mentioned that in one episode when they reappeared. Can't remember if it was the mainland or GR....I think GR. Guess overcrowding is a problem on Griffin Rock too. I just gotta say.... I love Chase...so glad he had the spotlight..... or at least the 'green shield of protection' this week!!
I've been meaning to post in these discussions and I guess now is as good of a time as any. This is probably my second favorite episode of the season. Chase was hilarious when he was narrating everything he did. Episodes that focus on him or Blades are always the best.
Why aren't Evan and Myles in prison? This isn't a prank or a joke that they're capitalizing on, it's outright bank theft and terrorism that they're engaging in. Chase and his detective noir obsession was great, especially his metaphors during his self-narration. Solid episode.
Ok finally watched the ep... And serious agree with Parvus lol, how are they still running around?! Crappy prison system... However, the ep itself was pretty awesome. Chase was ridiculously fun to listen to. This will definitely be in my top favs!
