aw, we could've gotten an adorable rescue bots stratosphere
Yes it is. This is right up Rescue Bots alley. My son will probably ask for this the first time he sees it in stores.
THREE YEAR OLD: And it's Opimis Prime and he turns into a plane and the plane holds cars and
ME: (scoffing) Hardly canonical
I read that in a upper-class British voice lol
*adjusts monocle* "That's hardly canonical. Quite pedestrian. Yes"
If I had a 3 year old I'd totally think about buying this. Just a storage for toy cars its got some coo uses.
Cant wait for it to be used as Crossovers TailSpin
Because Rescue Bots was a successful franchise that drew young kids in to Transformers and lasted for 10 years on TV?
You *want* to he able to hook young audiences. And this'll do it. Kids love big jets they can woosh around.
Not gonna lie I’d love a Generations figure of this, but that would be denying my boy Stratosphere a new figure.
This looks absolutely ridiculous. I kinda need it.
Windmill Gundam is that you?
I don't think my 4 year old nephew would play with hunk of crap.
This looks pretty cool. Great way to store Rescue Bots.
Despite there being no Decepticons in it?
Oh you sweet summer child you... If only you knew the truth.
(psst, there's some Decepticons in it. Not telling who mind as that's spoilers)
I actually like the look/concept of big jet Prime, but..well obviously the execution here isn\'t really going to be anything to write home about. I think a properly done take on this could be pretty cool though.
Man and you guys thought SS Blurr's arm kibble was bad.
Post of the year. Hahaha.
Look closer----propp not jett.
A tangent, but this is getting kind of in the ball park of a tf toy line idea I had way back in the UT days. Given the space fairing and space opera can be a major part of tf story telling, my thought was "why don't we do a line where they are all space ships of some sort?" This would hit the autobots hardest, but I thought it would be cool if there was an Optimus Prime who was some sort of large capital ship or cargo hauler, characters like Jazz, sideswipe and Hot Rod could be little starfighters, and the other characters would filter out as appropriate. The decepticons, especially the 86 era ones, could adapt to such a line more easily of course.
I had that idea back in the days where they would take more risks with the toyline, such that the aestetic was not limited to two flavors: G1 and bayverse.
*Checks TF Wiki* Huh
