    It is new (all redecoes), but I imagine that it was meant to come out earlier, before the Rescue Bots Acadamy label disappeared.

    Man, getting Rescue Bots Academy toys for my kids is such a pain in the ass. They’re all remolds of other characters, so none of them match the show.

    got my kid a Medix — “Dad why does he look wrong?!”

    I've thought, since I first saw the VTOL Bumblebee, that mold would make a really cool Rescue Bots Windblade if it were cast in red with some glossy black deco hits.

    Just what my kid needed! 3 more versions of the same character!! Already have 2 of the offroad mold (Hot Shot and Bumblebee) and 1 of the VTOL (Whirl). I love the concept of Rescue Bots, but it's probably the laziest TF line to ever exist.

    Wouldn’t that ignominy belong to G1? You’re complaining about having a couple versions of a mold, but G1 has an army of Seekers, and Autobot cars, and cassettes.

    On the contrary, G1 is the least laziest line. There were mold reuses sure in the early days as Hasbro had yet to start making new molds until 1986 but once they did, there were very few repaints and mold reuses from 1986 onwards. 1988 had zero mold recolors from earlier years or the same year. 1989 only repainted four Micromasters for use with the small bases. And 1990 only repainted six Micromasters.
