Out next week!
Most of the Wreckers died last time. May as well be called Survivors. But suprisingly nobody cares for that Marvel UK team.
I do. But then, Prey and Cry Wolf are some of my all-time favourite stories. I care so much about Carnivac after that that I'm disappointed we didn't get him as a Weirdwolf retool last year.
Greatly looking forward to this issue! Hope there is a bit of synergy between flashbacks and present day events. That first page feels chilling, though. And I think I know whose door Verity is knocking on.
It's her parents. She's going home, and in doing so, brings the whole IDW continuity back to where it started - since it kicked off with her running away from home
"On fleek". Oh dear. The rest of the dialogue seems clunky too but I still have hope for this.
Last Minute Wrap Up of the Wreckers
Yes looking forward to this. Anyone know if we will be getting a paperback edition?
It's a shame Kup is gone. He could have done something heroic in the Unicron event.
There won't be a "Requiem of the Wreckers trade paperback" because it's just one issue, but since it's a double-length issue, it will have paperback-style binding and would sit nicely on a bookshelf.
The only collected edition it'll appear in is the big "Wreckers Saga" book that collects all three Wreckers stories.
I need to catch up with the wrecks soon. I only read issue one of sins, and that was it...
Hmm. Not even bringing up the "space-witch" part of Kup's death, eh Roche?
Probably for the best since not too many people liked Transformers vs. Visionaires...
It’s also being added the big book with Last stand and Sins that was announced. That’s why that book was delayed. It was suppose to come out this month but has been pushed to add this to it.
I'm totally with ya. Carnivac and Catilla's story in the UK marvel comics was great and I really hope the former gets something to do in this book after his role in SotW.
And yes, it's a crying shame that they never retooled Weirdwolf into anyone else. No Carnivac? No Fangry?! You have a perfectly good wolf mold Hasbro, use it!
I would have been so annoyed if the characters I wasn't done using got trashed in an unsuccessful and boring miniseries. Disappointment. Hopefully Roche can make this interesting in spite of the blunders rippling throughout the continuity.
That's the book Jalaguy was referring to, "The Wreckers Saga."
I'm real horny for this one! I thought it wasn't out for another month or two.
Roche actually stated a little while back that he was genuinely done with Kup after Sins, and that it even helped him in writing Requiem.
FWIW, at least it's not a robot saying it. It's just contextless dialogue pulled from surveillance. I agree that expository dump was forced as all hell, but it's not the worst I've heard.
Still excited. Quite possibly the last thing IDW I'll ever read.
Definitely gonna check this one out, hopefully we get a satisfying ending to this trilogy. This is also coincidentally the last comic I'm actually looking forward to reading from the current IDW continuity. Hopefully it ties up all the loose ends that it can.
...I wonder if there'll be anything pertaining to Unicron. (Doubt it though.)
Also, I guess if it wasn't for the fact that this universe is calling it quits after Unicron, I kind of would've liked seeing a new line of Wreckers rise from the ashes of this one (totally expect Springer and Impactor to die at the same time at this point) via Ultra Magnus, Whirl, and Perceptor.
Eh, but I guess it can't be helped at this point, huh?
Glad to get more Roche Wreckers before the series reboot.
oh my god, that means that verity... is shockwave!
