I love reading reviews as much as the next person but I'm sure half of the members on this board would like a review without spoilers. And with the worldwide premiere happening as we speak, more and more reviews will be pouring in. Like most fans, we can all understand how hard it is resist reading spoilerific posts but we still don't like reading them. So I wonder if it is even possible for an excited reviewer to review the movie without posting any spoilers of what happens. If you find it hard to write a review without spoilers, here's a guideline: - gerenal feelings about the movie - how did you like it compared to the original - how much more screen time do the bots get - describe the action without describing key events like casualties or character specific actions like Cliffjumper castrating Longhaul (thats too specific) - talk about the comedy - how many set pieces in the movie - your rating out of 10 - the dialogue and acting - what you thought of the story - talk about the CG animation and robot acting - Michael Bay as a director on this film
OK, my quick attempt - gerenal feelings about the movie Loved it, enjoyed it, took too long to get going though and some wasted oppportunities - how did you like it compared to the original They are very much on par, this is no worse or better. Effects are better though - how much more screen time do the bots get More than 50% - describe the action without describing key events like casualties or character specific actions like Cliffjumper castrating Longhaul (thats too specific) Major battle at start between Autobot Squad against Demolisher and Sideways 2nd Major battle on forest Prime versus Megatron, Starscream & Blackout Final battle all characters in Egypt including Humans - talk about the comedy Some just right, still allot of jokes but some are badly timed at the end and break up the flow of the action - how many set pieces in the movie Plenty - your rating out of 10 8.5 - the dialogue and acting It's a summer action film, what do you expect? - what you thought of the story It's fine. Maybe not different enough from the original and might be hard to follow for a non TF fan. - talk about the CG animation and robot acting Superb, can;t fault it, much improved from 1st film - Michael Bay as a director on this film Stop blowing stuff up! Hitch
Here's a thought, watch it yourself before dissing it. I'm anxiously awaiting it so I can see for myself how it's gonna be.
