So with Select Series Megatron out now, I've been looking for a good Combat Hero Optimus to go with him, and the RTS one just isn't doing it for me due to being the wrong mold. Does anyone have any good suggestions for him?

I mean... I guess that will work. I think I’ll probably do that then. It’ll give me a good excuse to finally get him then. Thanks for the suggestion.

Perhaps paint him up a bit to make him look more like Combat Hero Optimus. And as for the head, I think it wouldn't be too difficult to connect TR Optimus Prime's head.

 

Orange face...White and red color scheme...antenna...hey, where have I heard that before?


Cybertron Override as Minerva

 

To be honest I might end up doing the opposite if we ever get a Classics Minerva.  

 

I believe Override was designed as an homage to Minerva, I could be wrong though.

An idea I've had is to repurpose all of the lens head figures from the Movie toylines ('07 and ROTF) as G1 empurata victims.

 

War Planets Moon and Lego Coruscant set as Moon base 1 and 2

War Planets Reptizar as Charr

War Planets Tek as Cybertrons core/Primus spark chamber

 

ROTF Elita-1 as Nautilus

 

Remember the G1 Season 3 episode The Dweller in the Depths episode? essentially the Quintasons traped 7 of there Transorganic creations before being driven off Cybertron and want to reactivate them to destroy the Autobots.

Still looking for Pretender shells for Skyhammer, Roadblock and Submarader. I already got inner robots for Roadblock and Submarader but not for Skyhammer. Any suggestions are welcome. I would purfer if Skyhammer and Roadblocks shells could transform.

 

Submarauder- TR misfire with wings removed and Triggerhappys head
Roadblock- T30 Goldfire

 

I can't think of any official Hasbro-made figures to substitute for Skyhammer, but if you're willing to, I'd recommend doing some slight mods to MMC Turben, as the alt-mode matches Skyhammer perfectly.
