I also had that bat optimus primal as a kid and personally couldn't repurpose it as a decepticon. Nostalgia trumps obsessive collecting needs apparently .

 

Beast Wars Sonar would work as Bombburst, I think.

For Submarauder I recommend Sharkticon Megatron (if you aren't using it as Shokaract).

 

In had just happened to snap this pic yesterday. Air raid needs some treatment with the red paint pen to look like the inner robot. Splash down needs a shark tooth decal. Several I don't have but just had the idea

I'm totall6 already using him has Shokaract. But that's also a sokid choice for submaurader. Maybe also energon mirage? He's got purple, he's nautical, he has a large helmet crest that kinda looks like that fin.

 

What about TFCC Depthcharge? He's blue, looks like a sea monster and wields a frickin trident.

 

Having recently sold most of my prime collection, I've kept my customised voyager predaking and repurposed him as classics dragonstorm. He's an old friend of my movie inspired tr sentinel prime. And the vehicons have become the stormtroopers for Straxus. The colour matches well and they have triangle guns, that match the triangles on straxus.

 

Neat idea , I tend to steer clear of those exclusives due to budget reasons.

 

I typically don't buy exclusives for repurposing either. But some of the few I've got over the years do have some potential. I'm gonna list them and some ideas in another post.

After I've noticed that deluxe TLK Megatron has G1-esque face I started to think about buying him and repurposing him as Quake who decided to become a stealth bomber for reasons. That or I will call him Armada Thunderwing.

 

I'm thinking on using him as Beast Machines Megatron. His head resembles the control helmet and the muted colour scheme is reminiscent of the entire control harness.

 

That's cool idea as well. It reminds that somebody suggested to repurpose Megs into Fallen. Funny, so many characters work for this figure except TLK Megatron.

 

I would've thought that Leader TLK Megatron would be better as Liege Maximo, what with the horns, goblin face and the giant gun-arm.

 

Had another thought, Power of the Primes Inferno into Pyro.

 

That's who they should've painted him as in the first place damnit... We didn't need another Inferno.
