Well Ironworks has two new figures and Backstreet only has his disappointing G1 toy. Their character models have similar head designs and their colour schemes aren't a million miles away.
No offence mate but there are a lot of repurposing suggestions on this thread that require a lot more suspension of belief than these two. Not sure why you're singling me out.
Repurposing for Chug Earth mode Sentinel Prime
Nissan GT-R Dai Atlas car(animated vibe)
Burning convoy as Beast Wars Sentinel Prime
Cyberverse Megatron as Reverse Convoy
Adventure Roadblock as BWII Autocrusher.
The original Roadblock was repainted into Autocrusher so it only seems fitting that a direct homage to Roadblock be reused as his Predacon counterpart.
I’ve unwittingly started a BWII Predacon collection and I need to fill some gaps cause the Seacons are coming and I’m currently building a Gigastorm.
For Dirge, Thrust and Starscream I’m going to use Siege Ion Storm, Nova Storm and Hotlink but I still need BB and Autoslinger (Grapple?)
I’m replacing Galvatron and Megastorm with LG G2 Megatron, most of these guys were his direct minions from some club fiction so I’ll take OG Megatron wearing some fancy armor over a drunkard LARPing as the Mad Tyrant and his dorky little brother.
Thrilling 30 stealth bomber Megatron i think would be a workable BB.
For Autoslinger, Universe 2.0 Heavy Load ROTF Payload?
instead of T30 Megatron, why not T30 Dreadwing?
Sideways from gi joe bat Soundwave
To add to your Micromasters more Cyberverse/legend Transformers.
Universe Rodimus as Micromaster Hot Rod.
RID Blurr as Tailspin.
Prime Ratchet as Fixit.
Universe Perceptor as Countdown.
RID Drift as Metrobomb.
Prime Vehicon as Roadhugger.
TLK Megatron as Stormcloud.
DOTM Megatron as Roughstuff.
Prime Ultramagnus as Overload.
Prime Starscream as Nightflight.
Great idea with the Countdown seeing as the Voyager mold of the Percepter (from Cybertron Defense Red Alert) was actually redecoed into Countdown.
If you want an Ironworks/tread truck to go with the Modulator figure but don't want to pay the hefty fee for the Micromaster 10-pack, Huffer from Power Core Combiners could be a decent stand in.
Edit: In retrospect, after actually having now purchased a Huffer, he's way too big! I haven't owned any PCC figures before so I didn't realize Huffer is almost as tall as a modern deluxe! Lol
We have been getting a few crossovers with Transformers lately. Got Ghostbusters, MLP, Angry Birds, Terminator, Top Gun and of course GI Joe from time to time. What other Transformers that resemble other vehicles from Comics, Games, TV and Movies?
Cyberverse Starscream as a ship from Gradius.
Runabout as Kit from Knightrider. Runamuck pic as a stand in until we get a Selects Runabout.
Studio Series Jetfire as the Blackbird from X-MEN First Class.
CW Legends Grooce as one of the bikes from CHIPS.
Studio Series Bumblebee as the car from The Rockford Files.
POTP Jazz as Herbie after getting a much needed upgrade.
CW Vortex as Airwolf.
anyone have any ideas for Micronus Prime?
I'm thinking either Cyberverse Flak or a Minicon Backtrack (green sports car)
Maybe Blizzard Strike Slipstream from RiD? (Just leave off the armor pieces)
SS ROTF Soundwave as Vector Prime.
Primus as Iaconus.
Halo Drop Pods as Angolmois Capsule and Stasis Pods.
A RGM-79D GM Cold Districts Type as Autocombatant.
G1 Rotorstorm as Battletrap...
Or you could use... Battletrap.
I use Armada Overload, myself. He's a Minicon and covers every [blank]-master type.
so I use Gen redalert as clampdown, probably an obvious repurpose idea
but I wanted to share this dumb way of remembering he's clampdown
eventually if none of them get announced with wfc I plan to repurpose a redalert with sunstreaker's head as a corden and a universe sideswipe with sunstreakers head as spinout
I've been using this guy as my chug bulkhead and he works quite well,
I've never seen this redeco before, excuse me. *Googles*
*post-Googles* Oh, BotCon...
Not gonna work for me as I have decided Micronus is green
Tlk megatron as Galvatron
Cindersaur as (not) carnivac
Jeep bumblebee as swindle
Cyberverse clobber as lugnut
hunt for Decepticons highbrow as anode
Separate names with a comma.
