Ok so if the original repugnus was an autobot(kinda bad one but still) and the universe buzzclaw repaint = a decepticon repugnus. which affiliation is the undermine repaint? and two what would you guys think of a purple undermine repaint called underdog?
I think the Undermine repaint is still a Decepticon. I guess ol' Repugnus went the same way as Armada Wheeljack, Aaron Archer and company saw it and thought "this sounds like a bad guy name" (which, in all fairness, it does), and ran with it. Good for them, I say. Nice to see some less well known G1 names recirculated.
Hmm, whatever could have Repugnus end up a Decepticon... I think that, compared to a faction switch for a name like Wheeljack, Repugnus is a good choice, and such a history makes it all the more fitting. I'm still not dead-set that C Repugnus is a Decepticon, though. It makes a lot of sense, and fits not only the Buzzclaw repaint but the Jungle Planet's clear pattern of reptiles (Cons) versus mammals (Bots). On the other hand, if he kept a similar personality, being an Undermine repaint would fit such a reputation as well as being barely an Autobot.
