Really disappointed with the Starscream set. I understand using the lighter gray/white for the stickers as an attempt to better match the show, but it clashes so hard with the actual plastic of the toy. It's bad enough when it's white-on-red, but when it's white-on-gray the contrast looks truly awful. It would have made so much more sense to just color match the gray plastic where it's needed and not bother in other places where it's entirely unnecessary (like the wings). It's a shame because I think the details are pretty spot-on, and if it weren't for the white I'd totally get it just for the parts I want. I've got no use for it as-is, unfortunately. Hopefully the labels for Hot Shot will be better.

I do think Inferno's stickers look very impressive, though I don't have the toy. Crasher's look pretty good as well, maybe right on the line of being too much.

 

Argh! Was really hoping that Breakdown was going to be in the next wave of reveals. Dying to complete Menasor.

 

Nothing for the ant head/chest of Inferno? I’d have thought that was an obvious place in need of some detailing…

Plus.. $15? Dead End is still just $10, and it's not like this comes with any plastic add-ons.

 

Their pricing model has been a bit all over the place lately and also the splitting of sets to release as multiple sets in the case of Victory Saber, I feel like it is again done so they can charge more overall since if you buy 1 you are probably buying them all.

 

While I do prefer covering up translucent windows that windshield sticker for Legacy Breakdown doesn't look good.

 

Yeah at least the front windshield is a 2-piece so you can skip the ugly white trim. That doesn't look to be the case on the sides though

 

The sides at least are for a Countasch look. Don’t know why they bothered with the windshield.

 

I really like getting sticker sets from them, but $15 for a deluxe set is crazy. That's almost another actual deluxe.

 

Dead End's set contains stickers for just him, whereas Breakdown and Wildrider (also $15) contain stickers for both the 'Bots themselves plus Menasor's shins (there are a lot of stickers there). Dragstrip is also $15, so for whatever reason, Dead End is the anomaly.

 

Dragstrip also contains plastic gap fillers for the tire pegs.

I literally put an order in on Monday, and I'd have added the Leo Prime set to it.

 

These prices are asinine. I get that it's a niche product, and I get that they're really the only ones doing this (which is a shame...), but for goodness sake...these are stickers. Visually gorgeous stickers, sure, but man...they're just not worth the asking price. It's at least $100.00 to get Menasor and the DK-38 kit fully covered/upgraded. I mean...what?!

 

No eyes for Leo Prime?

 

Yeah, i just dropped $40 on both sets for Motormaster plus some new symbol sheets, and that's after spending all my robocents.

 

So I emailed them about adding Leo Prime to my order. They said they couldn't do it, but gave me a coupon for free shipping. It even stacked with the current lazy eyebrow promo code.

As for their prices, some of them are crazy. Like I'd love to gussie up my Menasor or my Black Zarak, but holy crap that's a lot. I generally don't get sets any more than $15, and it's got to be for someone I'll have on display all the time. It's probably why most of my orders have been for core class guys. The sets really help them and are like $5 a bot.
