Wait....... I submitted mine which was all red, but the background behind it was black and white. Similar to this:

    Am I disqualified? :(

they don't give two cents about what your background is! They only want your actual faction symbol to have one single color. look at the real official ones.... they are one single color, and they dont have beveling or any texturing whatsoever. just draw the shape, slap a single color to the whole thing, and maybe for clarity's sake leave the background plain white.

Well.... If we are going by official insignias, an Autobot sign on say, my good friend Optimus Prime, is one color with a white outline, like I did the one I submitted.

It was also noted that 3D models were allowed, but with that, my 3D model does show natural shading on the edges which is something that gives off the 3D effect in the first place.

I submitted pretty much as soon as the contest came out, so I really didnt see that much of an explanation to what is valid and what isnt, it would just suck if mine isnt valid. :(

well, as far as a 3-D image is concerned, I would imagine they would allow the shading aspect but as long as its colored one solid color, cause if you make a sticker, its not going to be 3-D. as far as the outline is concerned, that's exactly why they don't care about the background color! If you'll notice at reprolabels.com, if you go to the section on faction symbols, you can order them with several different backgrounds... so they only want the actual symbol. This way they can produce them on different ones, like say white, or silver, etc...

I've been really busy and haven't had time to finish my entry. It'll be tomorrow night before I can. It will technically still be the 15th. Do I have until midnight of the 15th in my time zone to enter? If not, then what is the offical cutoff time? And can I have that cutoff in Easter Standard Time?

Well, I just submitted my entry. Like so many things in life, I put it off until the last minute. Just like most of my college design work! :lol

Good luck everyone. I'd like to see all the entries after the winner is announced, just to see what everyone came up with.

    Nuts! Missed the deadline!!
    WAAAAHHH!!! :(

p.s. The above "WAAAAHH" is a Galvatron "WAAAAHH", and is therefore sanctioned for a Transformers board.

I always thought it was pronounced "BWAAAAH!"

    Or on occasion "GRAAAAH!"

I was about to ask the same question. I probably didn't win, but I'd like to see the competition I was up against.

I entered at practically the last minute last night. I don't know my chances of winning, but I'm hoping there was a good turnout.

there's no way they've chosen the winner yet, cause when they do, they'll make a whole new front page article about it and show their actual entry. Besides they've haredly had enough time to judge all the entries they got!!
