Replacing Shockwave's Hose

    Hey all. We all know how crappy the hose is on G1 Shockwave. Even the KO has it's problems and mine is already needing repairs. Fortunately, the wire inside the hose is still intact and works perfectly. Yet, the hose just look's horrible. I'm wondering if it's easy to remove? I'm thinking of removing the ugly crappy rubber hose, and replacing it with heat-shrink tubing. I think it'll look ton's better, and be much more durable.
    Has anybody else replaced this his hose? If so, got any pictures? Tips? Suggestions? Thank you!

    no i've had a bunch of shockwaves from G-1 & some ko's. i've never replaced the hoses.
    I sold them all off ages ago.
