I would not expect the toys anytime soon(maybe 2010 universe)

With the animated style i don't see anyone filling in from the last few lines.

Those wouldn't fit the bill for me, those bots lack the character of the real deal.

I really wish we were getting the Animated Constructicons.

Eh, I personally don't think that there are any currently existing toys that could stand in for them. The Animated style is so unique (within Transformers that is) that one would have to, imo, at least kitbash existing figures to look anything like the style the Animated CC's have. Although I think that RID Grimlock would make a better stand in for Scrapper:

Grimlock - Transformers Robots In Disguise - Transformers Resources

He's skinny, tall, and has two more normal arms, instead of one normal arm, and one that's just the scoop arm in alt-mode.

Still, I honestly think they still might make them eventually. Maybe under the Universe banner when it comes back from the hiatus, as a part of the Animated series started by the Legends class figures. They could then give us figures of Ironhide, Autolooper, and others who won't be made/released this year. Hopefully we'll get some info on what's going to happen later this year and what they have planned for next year.

Uhg, RiD Grimlock is one of the worst figures ever released.
