Since we know there are plenty of Autobot teams like the ones Optimus and Rodimus have, I thought I needed to fill out my ranks with official repaints.

Roadbuster Prime (Rb Ultra Magnus repaint)
Goldbug (EG Bumblebee repaint)
Ricochet (FW Jazz repaint)

Who else could I fit into this team?

 

Ohhh, good idea. Maybe activators patrol bumblebee as sedan? They are both white.

 

Its not exactly my idea. People are talking about it on other boards. Sedan could be cool. I know that Wyatt included the character as a background Cybertron citizen in the show.

 

crap. i hadnt thought about this. now i need to get these figures. i have never even seen that magnus repaint in stores b4.

 

I like this idea. Depending on how he looks and even if he comes out, you could always use the Fugitive Waspinator repaint. Just put an Autobot symbol on over the Decepticon one and voila. He could be Tap-Out.

 

Tap-out would be awesome but I have a feeling the Wasp repaint will have a lot of yellow along with the green. It wont look very Tap-outish.

 

I think it all depends on how wasp looks.
Are there any other green repaints besides tap out?

 

I was apparently late to the party on this one. I just bought Elite Guard Bumblebee and immediately knew it was Goldbug once I had opened the sucker up. The repainted black head on him really does make the figure.

It hadn't dawned on me to use the white Bumblebee activator as Sedan. But seeing how Derrick J. Wyatt gave Sedan a completely different head, I think I will pass on that one. I do hope to repurpose Wasp though. Just not sure who he will be yet. Someone on another board said they thought Freeway Jazz looked more like Silverstreak than Ricochet, but I'm with you. The gold on the figure is a clear homage to Ricochet.

 

OH SNAP. I didn't even think about the Goldbug comparison! This just made my "to buy" list; I had held out because I try to stay away from most repaints. I like new decos, but I'm trying to stay on a budget!   I'll make an exception in this case... heheh...

 

Yeah, I didn't get the Bumblebee repaint for the same reason. But then I decided I wanted more Animated figures, and geeked out when I realized how awesome the repaint actually was because of it being an homage.
