This is pretty much my first repaint of a transformer, so I decided to try a few different techniques, including drybrushing and in washes. I wanted to test out a few things before attempting to repaint Megatron, so for the cost of the extra wreckage, I think I got to see enough of what works to be able to put out a better repaint in my next experiment (possibly blackout...)
No alt mode pics just yet. I'm still waiting for the clear coat to set properly. The paint will rub off if I transform it right now, so hopefully in a day or two I'll put up some alt mode picks

Nice work! You did right: you have a larger goal, but you chose to use a smaller figure to "practice" on. In this case, it turned out well and it seems you've learned enough to tackle another project as you're now building up. Good work!

Thanks for the responses. The paints that I used were testors enamel gold and metalic red for the slight bit of detailing I did. The others were krylon fusion textured black for the main body, hammered finish metalic black for the head, hands, and feet, and hammered finish silver for the arms, and for the dry brushed silber over the black for the main body.
