Ugh probably in the minority but I just wish these card games would use unique artwork rather then just taking it from the comics. Do like pokemon and just gather up a bunch of artists and let them do their own thing for the characters.

They at least do an authorization on your card. Remains to be seen if that finalizes. I pre-ordered on the assumption that they were getting paid, now.

Problem is it’s expensive! I know the tcg largely used idw for the deck cards and commissioned art for large cards only. But I don’t necessarily disagree :p

Anyone want to grab the rule book and post ti somewhere you don't have to make an account just to see it?

    100% this.

At least you could pull art from the DW MTMTE Profile books instead of grabbing awkward out fo context frames... I wonder, does Hasbro own all that IDW artwork though? may be next to free for them to use if so.

Likely as the very common practice in comics of “work for hire” where you own nothing and “may” get residuals.

    THANK YOU!
sorry, yeah, I didn't figure the ARTISTS owned the art, what I was wondering is if IDW or Hasbro owns it, which is probably defined by contract and we may never know.

If this is an “all in the box” like Hero Realms or Star Realms then they have my attention

I’m psyched for this - I was heavily into Legendary Marvel for a year of two which is a deck builder and fantastic played solo.

As others have said - at its simplest, a deck builder involves you having a starter deck and you spend resources on better cards for your deck as you go along. You try and get together cards that interact and play off each other.

They did, from another company, yeah. Renegade is the company that took over the licensing for a majority of gaming for Hasbro last summer/fall and has started with deck building games to avoid the tenuous TCG field (especially in the last year) and is working with Wizards to get the same licenses for DND 5E compatible books for all the same licenses. Power Rangers' deck builder in the next month (some have recently received it in Australia finally) is their first collab. But it's great to have so much of their IP on board for multiple games. I'm most excited about a GI Joe VS Transformers 5E game!

Renegade was kind enough to drop the rulebook for the Transformers Deck-Building Game yesterday. Before I put a new game on the table, I usually go through the rulebook and take notes on it, which I then use in conjunction with the rulebook on the first playthrough.

Since I'm pumped up about the game, I'm starting that process now and sharing it just in case others find it helpful to assist in digesting the rules. In today's video, we take a look at an overview of the basic concepts of the game and talk about setting up. In the next, we'll explore what happens during a game turn.

Just fyi, the Renegade website underwent an upgrade and you have to remake your account. When you do that, you won't see your order anymore but they assure us it's all there.

Yeah, they sent out an email to those with accounts saying prior orders are fine.
