Yeah, I got the G1 head

 

So it arrived today. The head looks fantastic. I had the shapeways adapter to let the head swing into the chest. There are some clearance issues with the way the faceplate neck fits on that causes him to look slightly upward on that adapter, and clearance issues with the front helmet crest not being able to allow it to swing into the chest.

Ended up having to go back to the default neck hole and just take the head off and store it in the chest. Not a huge gripe since this kit wasn't designed with that neck adapter in mind.

As for the arm adapters, I like them and I like that it comes with two of them for symmetry but there isn't quite enough clearance to clip the little tab in the forearm into the shoulder anymore. I also have a similar adapter from shapeways that is a far better fit although I will admit that the plastic on the renderform kit matches better than anything I had from shapeways in both in color and texture. The forearm adapters weren't a driving factor in my purchase so it's really not a big deal to me.

All and all I'm pretty happy with the kit. It looks fantastic and was well worth the wait

I pulled my Galvatron out and have had him on my desk the last couple weeks, just waiting for his new head. Can't wait to get it. Unfortunately, mine is the Hasbro G1 head, and was combined with an order for a Bruticus gun. If I remember right, I think that puts me at the end of the queue.  

 

Mine is paired with some Brainstorm guns, so you and I are probably in the same boat.

 

Same here but with most of the TR headmaster's weapons, so it's gonna be awhile.

I got one of those, it's Renderform's Arttek Art of War AOW-01 Hero Rifle. It goes great with the Classics or Siege Prime. it's sold out at most retailers but there is a listing on ebay (not mine) for $15 buy it now (shipping extra).

 

Yeah I got one with my Galvatron head, except its transparent orange. Grateful for the freebie but a black one feels like a better one to have.

Well, Venksta stated earlier that he was going to do those before the G1 style head sets (before he got burgled), and since then some G1 head orders have landed with folks so you may want to contact him directly to ask him about it.
