Sorry, you can't go for that look without sacrificing transformation, unless there is some way to make the antennae super thin and hinged so they can fold inward during transformation. Given the limitations of the mold, I think this new sculpt looks wonderful.

i dont care about the head, just give me some panel that folds over the center of the chest and i will be happy forever with this figure(maybe using a joint on the neck or something?)and maybe smokestacks for the geewun nostalgia
i mean, this new head is cool and all but the original looks better with the overall appearance of the figure, this one, doesnt BLEND with the rest as much

 

This looks really good.
Though, I wouldn't replace my modified Orion head with it. I know mine has the sacrifice of head removal for transformation, but honestly, I hardly ever have it in truck mode.

like that head to preorderd still hard to tell which I like more original or this one but with idw head you have they could make that same head with shorter antenna that would work in transformation

2. can it be disassembled to easily paint the eyes? i'm not a big fan of light piping. i want light in front of my figure...not behind it.

For some reason this head reminds me of the deluxe classics head, and that's not a good thing. Why are the eyes so bugged out and faceplate so flat looking? Very undecided on this, I want a better head for my Orion, but this really isn't an improvement to me.

 

Let me put it this way. I haven't bought Orion because te head sculpt turned me off. I just bought this head and will buy Orion now.

 

I still think the stock head looks better. Just needs longer antennae.

 

I think this is pretty close to perfect with all things considered like Transformation and such but if I could mod one thing I'd make the mouth plate fill up the entire helmet or paint those little indents black between the helmet and face plate. Oh yeah great job Venksta & Jesslyn, also how close are we to 100 preorder mark as of now?
