The RF-020 Thunder Struck upgrade kit allows you to convert Combiner Wars Battle Core Optimus Prime, into a modern version of Thunder Clash. This limited edition kit features a brand new head sculpt with red light piped eyes, and one gold rifle, given an updated look. A deluxe version of the kit is also available, with a second rifle.

This kit works best with Reprolabel’s Thunder Clash sticker set (sold separately), which really sets the look of the figure apart, from the stock figure, as seen in a photo below. Please visit Reproduction TF symbols and replacement toy symbols - Reprolabels.com to order the sticker set from their online store.

    Update:
March 29th, 2017: About 15 kits left for order, then this kit is officially retired.

To order, visit the following link to the online store:

Looks so nice. :)  What a difference a head swap and reprolabel stickers can do. Are you going to make a Machine Wars Optimus Prime version for the regular CW Optimus Prime toy?

Didn't even see the early bird, that's a bummer. But hey awesome that sales were that good right off the bat. I put down for the full set if you ever decide to make more.

That does look pretty darm good. I'm still more partial to Checkpoint with this figure, but this is still one of the things I felt this figure could've been.

So far, no, but if reprolabels makes a MW Optimus set, maybe Azim will do it... :D

Only if Reprolabels does a sticker sheet. Slapping the kit on the regular red and blue version of Optimus doesn't look any where like the Machine Wars version. If they were to make a set, I'd consider a small run then. :)  Best thing to is let them know about your interest.

I wish reprolabels did a stick set for the original Thunderclash toy. I got mine cheap, but the stickers are worn off and upside down!

This is awesome. As soon as I saw this thread on the 12th, I went right over and placed an order, hoping I'd somehow get one. And I got an invoice this morning! So excited, it looks great. I'll be grabbing one of the Primes this weekend, and I'll definitely be getting the Reprolabels. I'd been going back and forth on it, but until this I wasn't certain I wanted an Optimus head standing in for Thunderclash, even with the stickers.

    Great job!

Interestingly, almost half the second run of the kits have been pre-ordered, before TFW2005 has even front paged it as news, haha. If you know about this kit, and are thinking about pre-ordering, do so soon! Currently, pre-orders are for the second run, and you won't be invoiced for atleast a week, which gives you time to save up if needed.

Funny thing, I was wanting to make this kit since I first saw Battle Core, but was hoping for Reprolabels to make a complimenting sticker set. If they hadn't released their set, I'd be working on my CW Combaticon stuff, hah.

For those who noticed, this kit's run(s) are not even half of my usual. I'm going to be doing a lot less production on releases this year. Due to that, I need to be selective with what I release, and that's why I don't have plans for a Hyperdrive combiner head. I just don't have the time to produce it, along with projects I do have planned.

I'd be curious to see what ideas you'd be able to come up with for a companion combiner head for torso mode!

EDIT: My apologies. Missed you post earlier!

The eyes need painted too. I'd still much rather have a MW one from Azim. C'mon reprolabels...

$42 for a head and 2 guns. I don't think ill be making that dive. There's hobby, then there's unhealthy obsession. I like it but, idk, just doesn't seem worth the investment to me. Maybe if a label sheet were part of the package.

Not bad, I'd be tempted to buy that otherwise crappy CW remold if this add on didn't require jumping through hoops to pre-order it.
