Hey guys. Wanted to share photos and info on my first little casting project, the Retro Axe for G1 Optimus Prime. Below are the two versions. A show accurate design from the original G1 pilot, and a Takara reissue design. The axes are hand finished, with a polish. These are garage kit style items, so colors and other details vary from each individual axe. I'll be selling them for $10 each, plus shipping. The reissue style is a limited run. I only have a dozen or so left. The show accurate style is not limited. How ever, this morning, I found the mold is no longer good. So I won't be able to make a batch of these axes for a bit, as I'm starting production on Skyfall's set soon. Anyways, PM me if your interested. Special thanks to Foxw, on Cybertron.ca, for all his help with getting me started off in the world of mold making and castings. And to Reprolabels for the new stickers for my G2 Prime. *Please note, the reissue style axe is not a recast. I recreated the design based off photos of the reissue axe from the Takara Convoy reissue. If you need an actual replacement, this will not do the job probably, as if compared, there are differences. Each axe is $10, plus shipping. Shipping to Canada is $1.25. Shipping to the US is $2.35. Shipping anywhere else is $4.45 7 Reissue axes left! 0 Show Accurate axes left. I have a bunch of "reject" axes. They didn't meet my standards. But some of these look exactly like the ones I've been selling. The only problem is that their bendy. But if your just going to display them, their totally fine for that. If interested, I can sell them for $7.50 each plus shipping. Show Accurate Reissue Style
Looks LOVELY, not looking to upgrade my G1 Prime, or else I'd be all over this! The new site looks great too! Have you considered setting it up with an rss feed though? Makes it a lot easier to keep tabs on things! D/L
That makes me happy to hear. The G1 axes look great. *edit: Holy Sh*t, the Ravage missiles are awesome looking.
Thanks for the feedback guys. Thanks dude. I think Wordpress does the RSS thing by itself. My friend mentioned he saw the updates in his bookmark this morning... Thanks. Replied back to your PM. Thanks dude!
I'm buying one as you know Venksta. I really hope the community is supporting you, cashflow-wise, since I really REALLY want to see your other work happening! Thanks for your excellent contribution to the fandom.
Thanks. As for this project, it was more of an experiment to see if I can do all these things myself. Cash wise, the success of the Skyfall kit will help make all future projects a reality, and allow me to do some bigger projects I've had ideas for.
