I know, kind of a weirdly specific question.... but, I have a simple custom in mind that would require a re-painted Classics Seeker head. It seems like it would be better to remove the existing paint before appling a new coat (especially in a lighter color) and it seems like the original Classics Starscream's head is the best bet as its face is already unpainted. I'm curious if anyone has tried this. How difficult is that black helmet-paint to remove? In my few paltry efforts at customization I've noticed that some paint seems to come off rather easily, while some paint is remarkably stubborn. For some reason I get the feeling this black paint is the stubborn kind, that wouldn't budge even after a soak in alcohol. Can anyone confirm or (even better) contradict this? Thanks, much appreciated!
Use a 90% or more concentrated rubbing alcohol. I used a 96% when I was stripping my classics SS of his paint job. You can see how that works in this thread here: http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/radic...-classics-thundercracker-my-take-subject.html
