I've read that using certain solvents can damage clear plastic when removing paint. I've bought 91% alcohol for the rest of my figure but don't want to ruin the clear part. The figure is Deluxe Age of Extinction Drift. Any suggestions?

You can use 91% alcohol with no issues, just do not let the pieces soak.... I tend to use quick wipes with lacquer thinner, but I never let that stay of a surface for ANY length of time.

The alcohol can remove it without soaking? How hard will I have to scrub?

Fairly hard, but if you let the parts soak, you run the risk of them fogging up.

I use metal polish wadding, the paint wipes off in no time without any damage to the plastic (in fact it's great for smoothing out any scuffs to scratches the plastic may have). I've done this for a number of figures, including Universe Prowl, Ironhide and Silverbolt (ROTF version), it's also good for removing factory applied fraction symbols.
