So long story short, while attempting to tighten a shoulder join on my Titans Returns Sixshot, I ended up getting a load more nail polish over the figure than expected (I turned him upside down while holding the STILL OPEN nail polish bottle in same hand). The damage is minor, but some black and white paint has some off in certain places, though fixable due to having acrylic paint for both. However I'd like to remove as much as I can without damaging the figure further. I've heard of olive oil, WD40 and other ways but wondered if someone could help me out? I don't want to use nail polish remover, since most of them contain acetone which is horrible for plastics.

Any advice?
