Well you could probably try and find a middleman who is attending Botcon to pick one up for you. Usually it'd just be the cost of the figure or a little over cost and the shipping expenses, definitely better than what online prices would likely be.

They still haven't verified that they'll have those at BotCon, but I think it's likely they will. They said at JoeCon that they were hoping they would.

TFcon Charlotte: Yeah, we're about six months away from the convention, now would be a good time to open Pre-Registration.

Botcon: Less than a month sounds so much better though...

    GIJoeCon: Bitch please.

It's got to be frustrating for them too... The longer the registration is held off, the greater chance people will lose interest, and also the smaller the time window is to get people who are waffling to register.

Have they ever done something not messed up from the get go?

This is sad and a recurring theme...........

I can understand the registration problem from their side to an extent, they brought in a new programming company for their registration pages and this company apparently is just a room full of monkeys with laptops because this is the second convention in a row they've done with crap with.

Can't really fault them for hiring this company either because heck I'm pretty sure we've all thought something would be a great idea only to have it backfire on us in spectacular ways, so hopefully they cut this company loose after this year and find a more reliable group of people.

What I find hilarious though is that they still are keeping this final guest a mystery like it'll keep us busy guessing who it is. When it actuality it's ticking off quite a few people who just want to know who it is already.

Edit: Welp, looks like it's TFCC closing time. No registration tonight. :lol

Um, no. This is the 3rd year in a row (with nearly identical emails) they've had this issue with JoeCon.

Agreed, if it wasn't a lather, rinse, repeat of the same issues I don't think anybody would have much right to be upset...I can totally understand a one-off "wow, we hired this company for one thing and it bit us in the ass, we'll learn from it and do better research into better partners going forward" but this is a regular thing now...eventually as a business owner you have to stop pointing fingers and saying "they screwed up", realize that even if it's that you made a poor choice that the buck stops with you and take accountability...but we pretty much never see that from FunPub.

That's fair. I pretty much wait until it's posted on TFW. No worries from me this year as I will be watching from the comfort of my living room.
