It's not that crazy to have an insane Megatron, considering what happened to him in the late original issues. It's certainly better than having him act like it never happened.

I thought Soundwave would do more stuff on his own before Megatron was reintroduced. It begs the question, would Soundwave (and Shockwave, if he's free to do his own stuff) actually support Megatron enslaving their soldiers?

Oh, and   for Razorclaw and Hun-Grrr being zombies. I would have liked to see some proper characterization for them. At least Razorclaw actually did cool stuff in the original.

 

Where is the GI Joe team during all of the events of the past 20 years? It is well-established that they exist in the TF universe.

 

based on the looks of what we have seen of Earth so far, I would say GIJoe got their asses kicked.

 

It would be nice to see some members of Joe and Cobra as part of the Resistance, and, since IDW has the comic book rights, I can see it happening.

 

Now that's an idea that gets my full support. Realistically though, they would probably stick to the script and cast Cobra as evil people who subjugate anyone they can find. It would require balls for them to go off the reservation and cast Cobra as mankind's resistance fighters alongside GI Joe.

While it makes sense for the story, I don't think this book was ever intended to be a crossover of the two brands, and for that reason we won't be seeing any GIJoe or Cobra characters.

At best we might get an Easter Egg of a background character that looks like one of their characters.

 

I know this is a discussion for #82...but can anyone tell me if issue 83 is out yet?

All my local watering holes seem to not have it...which makes me wonder if it was actually released yesterday...
