I was just looking at this Buy Official Xbox 360 HDMI Cable. at Argos.co.uk - Your Online Shop for .

And considering I know where I can get a Gold plated HDMI cable for about £12.00 less I thought it worth asking some questions before I decide on what to do.

Is it OK to use an off the shelf HDMI cable with a compatible Xbox 360 ?

And if you wanted to split the Audio out to another feed can this be done by plugging in the Compenent audio in at the same time or does it cancel the outputs to Component Audio when an HDMI is used.

I'm asking this as I noticed the adaptor in the official lead and it puzzled me.
Is there any differences in use and function of audio /video leads with an HDMI equipped ELITE Console or a New shape slimline Xbox 360.

Basiically I'd like to know of any pit falls to be aware of before I buy the new shape machine as I'd like to use my TV's Component inputs for my Wii and run a new 360 on an HDMI lead.

    Any replies appreciated.

Find the cheapest HDMI cable you can and use that. there is no reason to pay for expensive cables. HDMI either works or it doesn't. There is no difference in quality between cables.
