You get refunded if it doesn't make 800 backers. It doesn't get refunded if you decide to back out of it.

ToyWorlds Fortmax is much smaller than this Fortmax. When mmc makes a Scorp its inevitably going to be rather huge like this guy is.



They already have a Deathsaurus and Daiatlas being built to this scale too. Helex will follow eventually as will other japanese-era g1 characters I expect regardless of if they showed up in idw or not.

 

I'm still salty about that rumored up-scaled Toyworld Fort Max tease that ended up being fake a couple years back. I'd LOVE to have a 2 foot version of that guy on my shelf for sure....ah well.

 

This is so frustrating to me, because none of these guys are going to scale well with a CHUG collection as a result. Overlord may have looked that big in the Wreckers comics, but Fort Max never did, nor did Deathsaurus or Dai Atlas. The latter is particularly depressing, because he's going to be massively out of scale with Planet X's upcoming IDW Star Saber.

 

Honestly dunno why some people keep claiming this kind of thing to the point of acting like its objective fact and all other interpretations are invalid simply because you decided on your preference.

Supermax is scale based on mtmte where he was larger and closer to overlords size. Overlord still being toweringly massive in that comic like he was in wreckers. Wreckers fortmax was comparably smaller and of a different design to the one Rick has more closely represented which is from s1 and s2 of MTMTE. This toy literally comes with his season 1 and 2 rifles. One of the most significant panels of art referenced for this design was the amazing transformation punch shot. If this toy couldn't recreate this shot with mmc's overlord then it may as well not exist imo.

Literally its the only drawing of max's alt mode too in the entire history of his appearance. Rick made sure he had the ab detail at the front, the three window cockpit and dual side guns were all there.



So you really shouldn't be frustrated at all. The scale is just right for being visually complimentary with many existing mmc toys. While I do not state so as objective fact I definitely do STRONGLY believe this to be the case.

As for Dai Atlas, well... Here he is with Cyclonus, being massive.



perhaps good reason to consider waiting for mmc to maybe do Starsaber instead? I'm not fussed if Kadmos is a head shorter or whatever myself though. The two toys won't be "massively out of scale" even if one has an inch on the other.

 

I guess it depends how on much you want this. If PSX doesn't get 800 orders, the figure doesn't go into production, and no other store will have it.

If the project does go into production, and MMC thinks there's additional demand outside the project backers, I'm guessing there could possibly be a separate retail release. (Though any other release would not include the exclusive alternate facesculpt and gun.)

 

We can definitely lower the value to help with import fees. Just add a note when you're placing your order

IDW really shat the bed with their Transformers comics, so I don't really have much love for MTMTE anymore, however this design is amazing on its own and i'm always willing to help a good cause, so order placed and payment sent.

 

If you don't worry about scale, everything is scale. Enjoy your Transformers, and their characters and the characters you create. My MT Chaos/Paladin is my Fallen, my MT Nemesis Tanker is my Liege Maximo, My Demonic Prominion is my fallen Prima. When you focus on the good, everything becomes great.

 

That's some great CS, I normally don't order my MMC products from PSX, but I will definitely give you guys a shot when the next regular release MMC preorder goes up.

I want to collect more MMC large bots spearheaded by Carnifex. Now we have Supermax, Def-Z, and Dai Atlas coming.

We also need an Ultra Magnus and Scorponok. If all of these guys come out within the next 5 years, I will be happy.

A Star Saber is also needed of course so we will have all the rivalries in place:

Carnifex vs Supermax
Ultra Magnus vs Scorponok
Dai Atlas vs Star Saber
Def-Z as extra. Use G Creation Sixshot to scale with these guys.

So we need 8 big bots in total.

Also a Sky Shadow of course.

Funny how, Iron Factory being efficiently Legends scale has 6 of these guys done already: The 3 Phase Sixers, Dai Atlas, Scorponok and the upcoming Ultra Magnus.

Shame there's not really an incentive to back twice. (I mean, if I want 2 of the same toy, okay, sure, but I don't really.) Like, if there was a way for them to be able to work retool tooling into the campaign so as to have an Armada Megatron SKU to sweeten the pot and to be released a couple months afterwards, I'd go for that too. The mold would probably look amazing as him.
