I have Warden plus the upgrade kit.

As the only option anywhere near an IDW Fort Max he's great to have. That said the difference between Warden and what MMC have shown is night and day. Can't wait for this one.

 

Few years late to this thread, but I hope Skids is still on the table. Honestly, for bots like Magnus and Springer, I thought their original mainline molds were a solid ground to start off from: with Magnus, I’d really only like to see modern articulation, a better Minimus, wheels in his forearms and better paint. With Springer, ankle tilts, better shoulders and maybe a slightly better helicopter mode. Maybe upgrade kits, or something close to improved KOs would work. I feel like Skids deserves a new mold - and you could get a Trailbreaker out of his engineering too because we never saw ‘Breaker’s alt mode. Nautica is another character I’d want, and I’m definitely down for the inevitable Fort Max. RVDA - if you’re allowed to answer, how likely are these ideas? They probably aren’t, but I figured I’d ask. Either way, keep up the great work!

Sadly, Reformatted has been put on life support/hiatus. FortMax, if he ever releases; will likely be the last new mold from MMC under the Reformatted label.

T30 Brainstorm is very much fine. Same with Ultra Magnus more or less (for a better Minimus, purchase Iron Factory’s version — he comes with one that’s much better than Hasbro’s).

I too am sad we’ll likely never get a Reformatted Nautica — let alone Skids, Crankcase and anyone else.

The last few figures they have put out, haven’t sold well. Including reissues.

Some did, but a lot didn’t.

They’re focusing their energy now on their Infinite Finity line, which may already be in some trouble, thanks to the incorrect head/paint fiasco.

 

 
Do we at least have an ETA on Fort Max, if he’s their last Reformatted figure?

and the d-zefs seem to have gotten a big boost from the haslab announcement

 

I have no idea : ( @RVDA may be able to chime in a little bit regarding some news about that figure and reformatted in general — especially if anything has changed since last time he has spoken about it.

This is always good news and good for Reformatted. Really really hope MMC changes their stance — at least gamble on another new mold or two before fully throwing in the towel. As much as I want a “whole collection,” I think I could die happy with just a Reformatted Nautica (and a Windblade and retools of both of them).

 

Hope so on the first part.

For the latter, I’d be fine with anything at this point - though I would hope that improved KOs of CW Magnus and T30 Springer were doable, even if it’s a pipe dream.

 

I too hope, if Reformatted is at its end, they can squeeze out Super Max. Go out BIG!   I hope MMC knows how much Reformatted has meant to us hardcore fans. So many 3P’s have gone, but many can be filled with other G1 cartoon accurate chasing companies, but none (even Planet-X) can match what the Reformatted line has done.

 

When MMC first announced this, I was one of the supporters. I am still hoping that MMC will make this figure.

Dang. The 1 year necro got my hopes up. I keep buying mmc figures and this keeps not being released. Now I'm broke. Well that has more to do with inflation and funeral costs and starting a business than mmc. But still.

 

Since it's being bumped anyway...Hope MMC does give this a go despite how tentative they were, I had 5 copies backed in the old crowdfund.
Less space now but I'm moving into a new house. Please take my wallet boss penguin.

 

I've been on the fence about D-Zef... on one hand it's a character I could not give less of a crap about, but on the other, it does look spectacularly good. Decided a few minutes ago to see if I can pick it up for a good price... the answer is no. It's sold out at all the major retailers (the IDW version, anyway), and those on ebay are really marked up now. Guess it sold well in the end, then.

 

I'd hate to see Reformatted go but that would sting way more if Supermax never got to see the light of day. Still just as excited for that as when it was first announced.
