Pretty sure he was joking. As in it’s such a small change/difference and he went apeshit about it (some people do though! Again. Pretty sure it was a joke <3)

 

Original was better. More dynamic shape, more visually eye catching, imo way better. The highlight ridge in front in particular I'd say is mandatory for the shoulder looking right. Far more shots of him in the comic had the highlight than didn't from what I recall and its one of the elements of the character designs crucial details that defines him. Removing it would be a huge mistake since it directly "flows" with the side torso panel details and his knee details. It's what I like about his glowy areas, their is a consistency to them on his body. Please don't remove them.


Also on a completely unrelated topic. Could people please remove their banners that refer to the old crowdfund. You're only going to confuse everyone once the new one starts. I'll make an updated banner if no one else does when the new crowdfund starts.

The one on the left looks a lot more interesting to my eye.

 

The only thing I don't like about the one with the highlight is how squished it makes that little triangle of detail look. If that could be fixed I'd be on board.

 

Supermax back on the table? The optics are going to be bad but I'm in for round two.

As long as the head sculpts look the same as before, all nice and perfect in their IDW'ness, and it's still a very accurate representation of the IDW design overall then count me back in. Exciting development!!

i don't give a crap what scale this guy is going to be. make it voyager sized, i'd still buy it.

 

He looks great. Of course, my dream is that his shoulders, arms and legs would be used to armor-up an alternate Cerebros Deluxe figure, who can turn into an alt-head for TR Fort Max, Marvel style with cop glasses. And then the shoulders and legs would form the tank mode separately (and the sidearm would also work for TR Max with say, a big old cannon barrel add-in). This would require pretty damn extensive retooling of what you have here, but I can dream.

 

Eh, that's not right.
