well city bots are to big for most forms but i have a few idears of what they can be instead and still be able to look like there robot modes metroplex a bus fortressmaxmius a aircraft carrer trypatecon is a hard one but a space ship would be awsome omegasurpreams alt mode is still current he can be a rocket do yous have any thoughts on what hasbro can turn these transformers into still hold some of there g1 self and be able to be put into futer lines see to some point i think there is to much stigma that city bots have to stay city bots
Unless they were supreme class id not want them. as for your ideas i like them except id make Fort Max a starship akin to either the SDF from Robotech or Argo/Yamato from Star blazers/Space battleship Yamato Just the same i wish they would stay as city bots if at all possible.
Agreed, citybots can't stay citybots for long if they wish to stay in existance. I like Metroplex as a Bus and Fort Max as an aircraft carrier. Omega should be a Space Shuttle, whether it be only the black and white part or making the black and white part into the hands and use the giant orange booster for the body. Agreed, Trypticon is the hardest, not sure bout that... but ya, need to be big toys lol
They gotta stay reasonably big. Metroplex - Aircraft Carrier Fort Max - Prison Transport (playing off of his status as Prison Warden in the IDW comics) Omega Supreme - Rocket/Space Shuttle Trypticon - Battleship, to match Metroplex in a callback to their G1 rivalry.
i was thinking the other way they can get around it is make them in the mp line as city bots and people just plop them into there classics collection most we can hope for realistly is voyager for these toys i know its not ideal but it is realistic they can bring back the ultra class maybe even slab them into leader class tryptecon is hard cause they can get away with makeing him a huge dinosaur kids love dinosaurs its just they will want a robot mode that means he will need to be very diffrent from his g1 self in the fact he will have a bot mode...
The problem with Metroplex & Fortress Maximus is that their very names pretty much define what they turn into, so giving them new vehicular alt modes doesn't make a lot of sense to me. But I highly doubt we'll ever get them again anyway (from Hasbro) so I'm not going to worry about it. About the only one I see us getting for a Classics-verse line is Omega Supreme since there's still a lot they can do with his alt mode update wise.
With Cyberverse it might just be possible to see them as bases again, only compatible with a smaller scale than the mainline. Of course, it wouldn't be too unlike the originals which were really more suited to interaction with the minibots rather than the bigger toys like the Autobot cars. If the Cyberverse Ark is any indication, they would end up being about Voyager size. One possibility for exceeding that size would be to make the Cyberverse figure with vehicle assortment compatible with the base; i.e. the big vehicle attaches in base mode like the old Micromaster bases, but also in robot mode like armor, upping the height. I know it's a long shot but that sort of cross-sell isn't unheard of in modern toylines.
Yeah, we need more Battleship / Aircraft Carrier transformers. A Nuclear Submarine would kick some ass too.
They should just make them turn into combat bases or playsets and such. Kind of like that DOTM Cyberverse Ark playset except it could actually transform into a robot. It would be a breath of fresh air too, because they don't seem to like making transformers that turn into stuff other than vehicles anymore.

This. With these alt-modes, a cross-over with G.I.Joe won't be that difficult. I'd take Metroplex and transform him into the USS Flagg. Trypticon can still be a battleship, but to match Metroplex's size, he can be the Helicarrier, Cobra's flying aircraft carrier. Omega Supreme can be the Defiant Space Vehicle Launch Complex, calling out to his G1 mobile launch platform alt-mode. Fortress Maximus will be The Pit. Scorponok can be Cobra Island.
they can make them all big square tanks for all i care, i just want good looking bot modes! heck, i would like to see a take on trypticon where he is given a robot mode and dino mode. they can continue the trend of them all being "futuristic" styled, as i think it suits the characters best. kind of like a cybertronian alt mode or some other nonsense. i wouldnt mind metroplex being deluxe and fortress being a voyager honestly. my shelves are creaking as it is!
I'm still waiting on an Omega Supreme that turns into an Ark-like spacecraft. (doesn't have to be Animated - but based on the concept) Trypticon - I'd probably go the battleship or aircraft carrier route here as well. It's a nice long vehicle form that would seem to lend itself well to transforming into a dinosaur. I'm not sure what would be good for Fort Max or Metroplex. Best I could think of is some kind of bulky megascale construction equipment. (hopefully more convincing than Cybertron Metroplex). It would be cool if they could have a third city/fortress-like mode which could interact with small toys like Cyberverse. They'd have to be quite large to pull that off though.
I'm probably in the minority here, but I'd be very happy just to see Cybertron Metroplex released in G1 colors. It's pretty close as it is anyways. I can see this as a very easy option. Ideal? No. Somewhat satisfactory? Sure.
i agrea cybertron metroplex in g1 colours is a good answer for him maybe a head resculpt and a new weapons a gun or two
I wish city bots would come back, but i'm not holding my breath. People that complain about Fort Max not being a war base would-be/are the same people who are sitting around hope for another Preceptor, one that is a microscope. Hasbro. Give me a Metroplex bus! Well i'd hope for something cooler than a bus but i'd rather a form Trypticon than none. Metroplex=Bus...i don't know, something cooler would be nice Fort Max= Aircraft carrer, that would. Maybe we'd even get a Cerebros control tower. Trypatecon= I would like him to be a tank or something. but if he's coming out he's going to be a space station because of the video game Omega=same deal as trypatecon.
Seeing how he had a mobile attack mode (he uses it in The Headmasters, not 100% about US G1), I'd say Metroplex works as a tank/weapons platform. As for Fortress Maximus, I like the TFCon idea of making him a big hulking armored vehicle. Trypticon - Maybe a Dinosaur and Robot Mode? Basically making the Dino mode his alt mode. Omega Supreme - Airship like in WfC or Animated.
I think i should explain why i want him metroplex to have a bus form well first i worked out how he can hold his basic orginal robot mode in that form secound we dont have any bus transformers not one go look its realy realy odd ( though there was that odd one about a year ago ) 3rd well because there is a bus company named metro and i thought it was a nice play off words senrio I have to admit if we got wfc omega i would be over the moon and tryptecon but im not holding my breath on that i think what hasbro should do is run two lines next year prime and classics but have movie toys in it like the rts line a slow drip of mixed characters why do i bring this up because these toys can be worked into a mixed line why do i only want 2 lines powercore rts genrations and movie 2 stock still on the shelfs all at once was to much and we lost out big time in some placeses space it out yes we want the toys here and now but who cares if it takes us 3 more years to get though all of g1 better then us missing out all togther
