Okay so, given the SB spot, we can speculate the female voice over is a creator,(this can be backed by the female mo-cap actress seen on set alongside Mark and crew), asking if Prime seeks redemption from them. So we've speculated Prime is acting the way he is out of dark energon, mind control, or some space plague. But the vibe I and many others got from this spot was that him doing for the good of the creators is his own choice. I speculate that, since it's said he Spoiler discovers a dead Cybertron and blames himself , hes going to return to earth to find whatever it is to revive Cybertron but on the way he meets this female creator and she somehow manipulates him to fall for a trap in which maybe she ends up mind controlling him. So it would be half his choice and half hers.
You dont need to be controled, just manipulated. And he is probably just doing whatever he thinks is necessary. He probably have out of his free will joined with the creators, but to late will he found out he sold his soul to the devil. And then who is without a soul, him or megatron?
I agree with above, that scene may not be earth. It could be early on showing an alien world being destroyed/harvested to demonstrate what could happen to Earth. It sets the tone for how high the stakes are.
I don't think that scene is complete, I think he's about to say 'do thy bidding ' or something similar, plus again I'm not sure if the spoken words are from the same scene as the visuals....
It will be interesting to see Optimus become an anti-heroic character in quest for redemption. The thing is, Optimus has never really regretted choosing Earth over Cybertron; in DOTM he admitted that Cybertron could not be saved, and he felt that it shouldn't be done at the cost of another world. He felt this way in ROTF, with the solar harvester situation and its potential to destroy Earth. But now things must be really serious (mind control, Faustian pact, despair event horizon) if he's ready to step into Sentinel Prime's shoes and do what he did. Either that or the writers pulled something out of their butt. Let's see how the story works out.
I'm probably way off but to me this bit of dialogue could be towards the end of the movie. Optimus is back to normal and this Female creator or whatever is asking him if he want's to redeem himself for the things he's done. Like Killing a human in AOE and all the stuff he'll do in TLK while evil(maybe he even kills an Autobot or 2). And to redeem himself, he'll sacrifice himself to save the earth. One thing I noticed is that the Female voice doesn't really sound evil. Maybe he goes to her and she offers him the opportunity to give his life for everyone. Here's that part where I'm probably really way off but I thought I'd mention it anyway. She says "Your world is dying". Maybe she's talking about Earth. Cybertron is already dead. Optimus said in DOTM that it was a barren wasteland. He and the other Autobots see Earth as their home. Like I said I'm Probably way off but it's fun to speculate right?
