the original. as it was relevant to the times. and you get the picture that the director actually thought this was going to happen.

while in the remake, it's just full of so many things that just makes it hard to get into. Like North Korea actually being a threat to the United States. Or the fact that it's Chinese people, DUBBED over with Korean.

it just lost the whole point of the original, in my opinion.

I would like to believe this happens during the beginning introduction of the videogame Homefront.

Still, didn't really like the film. I stand by my initial review and the reviews of major critics.

I hear that there's sequel bait at the end. Is that true because I hope it isn't? I don't see how a franchise could be made of this.

The original was, y'know actually culturally relevant back in '84 due to the largest country on the planet actually being a legitimate threat. I have not, nor will I, watch this remake. North Korea may have Nuclear Weapons, but they aren't even close to a threat. I think the People that made this film played "Homefront" and said "Wow, this sure sounds like a good idea for a movie!" but forgot to look at a fucking map and realize just how small North Korea actually was nor how badly their economy is doing at this moment before writing the script.

Word of advice: watch this before watching Red Dawn so it'll be somewhat move believable

apparently this movie was made several years ago as in filmed several yuears ago then shelved (apparently Chris Hemsworth wasn't as well known and they didn't think it would do well) so since the sucess of THor and avengers and Huner Games (the other guy thats in Red Dawn) they decided to release it and politics have changed hence the reason why I think nationalities were dubbed over

    Ebay:
Wars are no longer won by armies.
economic warfare. EMP weapons...North Korea could stage an attack.

the real question for me is, how would other nations react, would they help us?
if we became truly isolated, then things would take a bad turn.

never say "this can't happen". Heck, Japan during the 30s and into WWII was kicking CHINA's ass and taking over Asia. but that would never happen, right?

will watch on DVD, as popcorn flick.

I think having one of the characters be an actually trained soldier sort of ruins the core idea of the film.
