Yea, I know how repaints work — don’t have a problem with repaints at all. Just preordered a bunch of repaints this morning. I just don’t agree with the $31.50 price for a deluxe, regardless if Hasbro threw a few more tiny pieces of plastic in the package to attempt to justify it to fans. It’s a moot point anyways — between Target’s sales and clearance, it certainly won’t be 31.49 for more than a few months.
Real quick blast regarding the budget and margins. These figures always make them money. Even at clearance prices. Problem is they'd rather make the big money, and not the clearance money. The difference is 75% and more. Don't feel bad about waiting for sales. They are making too much money on these figures, because we are malleable and impressionable people. Wait. It WILL go on sale. And the more people that wait, the sooner it will go on sale.
31.49 for a deluxe with a few more guns is BAD. It's not even some cool big guns that have some interesting features. Worst part is, 2 of them already came with the toy. Seems like they're just taking advantage of us. 26 or 27 dollars would be better.
I remember the last 3 Red card exclusives(t-wrecks, Dracula, Road Rage) going on sale a week after they came out. A lot of people who had preorders in the Target thread had to get price adjustments.
Is this actually a Red Card exclusive though? People finding it out in the wild is making me question if it’s actually locked behind a Red Card or if it’s just an in store exclusive.
It's not Red card exclusive in store. Only online. The only Red Card figure that I didn't see in store was Redwing. Also, the Red Card figures are one of the few things that Target regularly had available for shipping.
