Just like my RID/Armada thread a few weeks back, I figured we'd shift the focus to Alt/BT.

Here's my present collection:

• Alt Jazz w/G1 reprolabels
• Alt Wheeljack w/G1 reprolabels
• Alt Sideswipe
• Alt Sunstreaker
• Alt Nemesis Prime
• Alt X9 Ravage (on sale)
• BT Smokescreen (rally)

I recently sold my BT Tracks and Alt Rumble.

I'm interested in picking up Prowl, Alt Tracks, and Mirage. How are those figures? Also, is Hound/Swindle any good? And since I own Nemesis, should I even bother picking up Optimus?

There are no bad alt molds get them all!!! why sell your bt tracks and then pursue an alt one?

 

Of the 3 I'd get mirage first, mainly cause he isnt getting nay cheaper as time goes on. I agree with MegaHavok, selling a BT Tracks to get an Alt one is a bad move. Once I got my BT tracks I gave my alt to my nephew the same day!

 

I still have my BT. Was gonna sell it but worked it out.

 

Definitely get Prowl, Tracks and Mirage. But make sure to do the leg mod on Prowl. it vastly improves the figure. The only others I'd recommend are Grimlock, Silverstreak and Shockblast. Hound/ Swindle is alright, nothing special. Don't bother with Optimus it's a horrible toy.

 

I've got Nemesis. Does the horribleness translate to him as well? Like, is it a quality issue or what?

Just added Mirage to the collection too. $57 mint.

 

Rodimus Is Pretty Good Too, Alt Rodimus That Is. Also Decepticharge Is One Of My Favorites As Is Prowl.

 

Prowl, Mirage, and Tracks are all great choices. Three of the best Alts. Hound isn't really amazing, but he's pretty solid. I'd recommend adding Grimlock and Skids to the collection, too. Grimlock is way, way better than Wheeljack, and Skids is an overall fantastic Alt.

Save your money on Optimus. He's not all that good. I wouldn't bother with Windharger, either. The only Decepticon Alt that's really a must-have is Shockwave.

 

Kiss Players Rodimus is WAY better than SDCC Rodimus imho.

Alt Rodimus is way nicer in my honest opinion. Kiss one is yuckie...lol. I do have both BTW.

 

Everyone is entitled to their own opinions. I don’t happen to think KP is ‘yuckie’.

+ I’d laugh hysterically if you told me Autorooper is ‘yuckie’ as well.

I'll have to put my votes in for Shockwave, Prowl, Decepticharge (If you can find him) and Nemesis Prime

Dunno why, but whereas Alt Optimus is kinda 'meh' in my book, I love Nemesis Prime. I guess black is slimming or something.

Then go out and get some Armored Core weapons kits, and arm them to the teeth.

 

Agreed on all counts. If you don't mind multiples of the same mold, get Rodimus as well.

 

KP Rodimus>Alt Rodimus big time but with the price of the KP version Alt Rodimus is the way to go. But get that mold regardless there all good.

But ya get all the Alts/BT's, there all awesome, but to answer some of your questions if your going to get Alt Prime get the KP version and not the Alternator one as it's a cheap KO by comparison, the difference is night and day. Hound and Swindle would be closer to the bottom of my list but you can find them pretty cheap.

I would also suggest getting at least one of the Meister mold.

 

I'm quite fond of the Jeep mold myself, I have Rollbar and it is one of my favorite TFs.

Skids is alright as well. The mold is nice aside from having loose ankles.

Only two I have myself though.

 

I personally love my Alt Prime figure but I can see why people dislike it so much: (blocky, bland, etc).

These are the best of my collection in order of course from best to worst:

1. Mirage
2. Grimlock
3. Meister
4. Silverstreak
5. Swindle
6. Prime
7. Skids

Oh, the best Transformer I own hands down is MP-4. If you have the money, I'd say go for it. I was lucky enough to get one for free and it really is the most awe-inspiring Transformer of all time. In one word: EPIC.
