I am looking for some new games for my GBA and aside from mega man zero 4 nothing is peaking my intrest so if anyone has any ideas let me know. Not big on rpgs but if it gets resounding recomendations I'll try it
Advance Wars - GREAT strategy game Bruce Lee: Return of the Legend - the only good Bruce video game Castlevania - any of them, they're all good Double Dragon Advance - solid recreation with some new stuff added, but a little short Final Fantasy Tactics Advance - you don't know how many hours I put into this one, again another GREAT strategy game Final Fight One - on my list to get Fire Emblem - yet another good strategy game Fire Emblem: Sacred Stones - on my list to get Golden Sun - very good RPG Golden Sun: The Lost Age - ditto Karnaaj Rally - highly rated, but no one knows about it, on my list to get Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past w/ Four Swords - GREAT Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap - on my list to get Lego Star Wars - very fun Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers - lots of time put into this one just getting a bunch of cool items Lord of the Rings: Return of the King - ditto Mario Kart Super Circuit - GREAT racer Metal Slug Advance - on the list to get Metroid Fusion - on the list to get Metroid Zero Mission - ditto Namco Museum - solid retro game pack Ninja Five-O - very cool ninja platformer with Bionic Commando elements Puyo Pop - solid puzzler River City Ransom - decent, but no multiplayer hurts bad Sonic Pinball Party - fun pinballer Super Mario Advance- any of them are classics Tactics Ogre - another solid strategy game Ultimate Brain Games - very good thinking games with multiplayer Ultimate Card Games - very good card games with multiplayer Wade Hixton's Counter Punch - it's like Punch Out for the GBA! Wario Ware Inc. - AWESOME Wario Ware Twisted - MEGA AWESOME
Some favorites of mine. Gradius Galaxies Metal Slug Advanced Metroid Zero Mission Konami Advance Arcade (for Scramble, Time Pilot, and Gyrus)
Super Mario Brothers Advance 4: Super Mario Brothers 3. Its a clasic and now you can take it with you.
Castlevania Circle of the Moon and Arai of sorrow are both good games. I'd stay way from Harmony of dissonance though. It was kind of weak by comparison. Sonic Advance 1-3 are all fun (though sonic advance 3 is kind of annoying with how long it takes to get chaos emeralds) Gunstar Super Heroes (classic side scrolling blow the Hell out of everything game.) Astro Boy the omega factor (great gameplay, great story, great game period. GET IT) Iridon 2 (This is a solid shooter and is pretty cheap too.) Zelda: A link to the past (a port of the SNES classic that defined what Zelda should be.) Zelda: The minish cap (an excellent 2D zelda. A little short but what's there is absolute masterpiece.)
I will mention that Golden Sun, though on a handheld, is one of the best made and biggest RPGs I have ever played. Totally 150% worth it for both carts. The graphics, the music, the gameplay, all combine to make a wonderful game. Remember though that it spans two cartridges, Golden Sun and Golden Sun: Lost Age.
It saddens me that even the guy with the Zero avatar hasn't listed the Megaman Zero series yet. I love it. Solid Megaman-style gameplay, great 2D graphics, excellent character designs, and a story that you can actually care about.
He already mentioned MMZ, but I will state that it is one of the coolest Megaman games ever. MMZ has routinely delivered everything I love about MMX when it was a good series. The game has the perfect amount of difficulty. It keeps success within your grasp, but makes you work for it. That and Zero is totally . Nuff said.
yeah i've played all the mmz so far save 4 so yeah the series does rock and thank you all for the recomendations much apprecated
Huh. First time I've heard anyone rip on HoD. In any case, I disagree. It is easy, but then so is Aria of Sorrow. I think all 3 GBA Castlevanias kick ass and are worth getting (though good luck finding CotM). Coincidentally, Harmony and Aria were just re-released in a convenient 2-for-1 cartridge. If you don't already have them, you no longer have an excuse. Speaking of 2-for-1's: just picked up the Sonic Advance/Sonic Pinball Party combo cart. Good stuff. I remember the pinball cart getting panned on release, but it's actually pretty good. And Sonic Advance is good old Sonic, with 4 characters and a new move or three. -XCN-
Damn, everybody has listed pretty much everything good, but theres still a few looked over gems. Kuru Kuru Kururin - Solid puzzler with a neat concept. It's never been released in the US though. Kururin Paradise - Sequel to the above game. Tactics Ogre: The Knights of Lodis - Deep storied strategy game, much better then the horrible FFTA.
also forgot firepro wrestling 2 not as good as the console versions but still fun ton of wrestlers on there
My GBA Collection: Final Fantasy 1 & 2: Dawn of Souls Final Fantasy 4 Super Mario World: Super Mario Advance 2 Metal Slug Advance I would recomend any of those games to any GBA owner.
