Today I received Megaman X7 from an auction I won on ebay. Auction here . It's cool and all, but when I got it I found out that it was a Blockbuster preowned copy, which is kind of disappointing. Is it my fault for not reading the auction clearly, or sellers for not being more descriptive? This actually might go better in the Games and Anime forum... I'm beginning to think ebay hates me or something...
DO NOT BUY ANYTHING WITH A 1 SENTENCE DISCRIPTION You got a good price on it... Unless it is scratched or something, you should be happy...
It says in the auction "Owned and played by adult." Since it was a rental, that's misleading right there. They can't possibly know who rented the game. They should have disclosed that it was a previous rental. Mike
Definatly misleading, but if it looks like it does in the picture (no writing on it and not scratched) I say roll with it.
It works fine. The thing is, the case is one of those Blockbuster cases with the weird sorta of rough plastic. The two things that suck the most to me are that the instructions got bent, because the case wasn't really meant for intructions, and there is a sticker on the back cover, and I don't mean on the case. I'm ok witht he item, since I switched the case with another one of my games, but that damn sticker...
The case in the picture should've been a dead give away. It's one of those "lock box" style cases. And it's not blue. The seller should've included that info in the listing, but doesn't have to. My advice if you are buying to collect: Ask any and all questions you want about the item. If the seller doesn't answer, don't bid.
You can tell from the picture that the case wasn't an original box - that should have made you skeptical and ask questions. The auction is misleading though. I will give you that.
Original Megaman case, or original Blockbuster case? That's what he'll say, probably. You got a game that works. Be happy. Next time, ask more questions.
