Customs: Rec for metallic red acrylic for airbrush?

    I got an airbrush for Christmas!

    Looking for a metallic red paint. Not too picky on exact red as long as it's not pink. Looking around, it seems that most of the metallic reds out there have someone complaining that it's too pink.

    Is this an issue of red needing a base coat? Or am I just looking in the wrong place?

    Help/advice is much appreciated.

    Wicked Colors has some vibrant metallics. I used the metallic candy apple red with really nice results a few years back, so that's the one I would recommend. They're sold at retail by Hobby Lobby.
