Pretty much my thoughts exactly.
I gave it an 8 out of 10 due to how rushed the final battle felt and lack of characterization from some of the newer cast members. Very solid flick! ^_^
I went with an 8, but it's really more like a 7.5. As far as Transformers films go, it's this:
Transformers The Movie 1986: 10
Transformers 2007: 8
Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen: 2
Transformers: Dark of the Moon: 7.5
6/10. Solid, entertaining, and better than avarage, but too many niggling plot holes and gaps.
(I'd give TF07 7.5/10 and ROTF 2.5/10)
7-8 (7.5?). I thoroughly enjoyed it, but too many problems to beat the 8-9/10 TF got. Clearly better than the 4/10 ROTF, though.
It was a good movie but too many problems with the storyline. As always it had huge gaps and no intent on filling them. Nice fight scenes, nice transformations but too much camera time spent on carly and her hot bod and not enough on the Transformers themselves.
I gave it 8-8.5/10 I thought the action scenes and 3d were pretty amazing, but it just needed more 'Con development and be a little bit shorter in length.
9/10 for dotm
4/10 for rotf
8/10 for movie 1
9/10 for me. Easily the best one of the series and in my top three favorite movies of all time.
10/10 if they didn't have the Jerry Wang scenes.
I give it a 6...too many plot holes (one as big as a planet no less) ruin it for me
The game has a better storyline (!)
Like some bits, hated others, was meh with most of it. It was one giant missed opportunity. The basic story was good, but Bay just focused way too much on the action. To be honest, I'm glad that Bay is gone. He did some things right, but now let's see what someone else can do with it already.
Should have been called - ''Transformers: Kill off all the decepticons characters''
I'm not defending Bay anymore. He can't really direct a movie other than action scenes
A solid 9/10. Planning to see it again.
This. I give it an 8, just because there were a few things I didn't like. Among them is the reason you said. It really was rushed and should've lasted longer with more dialogue. Another reason is just the gigantic plot hole with the Twins... I know they were annoying pricks in ROTF, but still! If they wanted them out, they should've just killed them off in the first half hour or so and not just leave them out from the beginning. That really bothered me. Oh and
Wheelie and Brains really did not need to die. I liked them a lot.
Other reasons involve underused characters, but hey I didn't expect otherwise to be honest...
Six, at best.
6/10 but perhaps 7 if the damn projector hadn't overheated and shut off just as the invasion started. They got it running after 25 mins or so but I'd lost interest somewhat by that point, perhaps a 2nd viewing is needed...
I will say there was a fair few OMG! cool moments though but more WTF? moments imo. A JJ Abrams Star Trek style reboot would be cool... Who could pull it off is the question?
Because of how Ironhide's death was over looked, Megatron did little and not knowing if Wheelie and Brians lived or died.
