I got an e-mail this morning as part of being a member of Sony's "PlayStation Underground" that confirmed that the PSP Ratchet & Clank: Size Matters game is coming to the PS2 in March!

I'm a huge fan of the R&C series, so much I'd buy a PS3 just for Tools of Destruction if I had the money laying around. I never did pick up Size Matters for the PSP...not sure why...but I'm thrilled to hear it's coming to the PS2 ($29.99 MSRP ain't bad either).

I've heard the rumors, but I guess this e-mail solidifies it. Anyone else get the e-mail as well?

Yeah, I got that same email. And it's a good thing, because I don't want to buy a psp for one game.

Is that a bad thing? Seeing how I won't be adding a PS3 to my collection anytime soon, I'm glad to see that there is still a little bit of life left in the system. Even after it dies, Lord knows I still have 8 or 9 games I've never even played that are sitting on my shelves!

Another great late PS2 game is Odin Sphere. It's a side scrolling game, but supposedly has some great gameplay, story and cut scenes. I found it @ Best Buy shortly after Christmas and would've bought it, but I only had so much on the giftcards I had.

I got kinda bored with Odin Sphere... gorgeous game, but some nearly game-breaking slowdown and frustrating boss fights kinda ruined it for me and I have yet to finish it. Someday, maybe.

... I ... haven't played any ratchet and clank games. I want to ... but I prefer my platformers to be platform-y more than shoot-y... I dunno. I'll probably grab a copy off the used game shelf someday.

No, it's a great thing. Still has a massive userbase, keep them happy with more games. They should totally port Daxter over too.

Yeah and Silent Hill Origins will be ported up to PS2 also. Size Matters is an awesome game, I'm almost done with it on PSP.
Oh and Twisted Metal PSP will also be ported, but with a lot of new elements including Levels and upgraded graphics, and for the fans a butload of extras like short movies that the creator Chaff made when the first TM game out. And all of it for 20 bucks.

Yeah, OS was hard for me too but I really LOVE the Japanese voices and the graphics. I'll finish it eventually too. :(

Does R&C:Size Matters have online play? If there's enough people still playing online maybe I'll get it since I always wanted to play PS2 online. :(  I got a Network Adapter wayyy too late for R&C:Up Your Arsenal so I couldn't even play at all, I should finish story mode one day and sell it off...

I came into this thread thinking this game was a PS3 game, and wondering why the hell Sony wants to release it on an inferior system.

    Then I actually read.

Great news for me, R&C is one of my favorite modern series, I was sure I'd never play another one when they announced Tools of Destruction for PS3. I dont own a PSP or a PS3 and it takes more than one must have game to buy a new system, especially at those prices.

Let's also not forget that Clank is getting his own game on PSP this year.

ALRIGHT! I got that email but just deleted it because it said "PS2 News" so I was like....old email?

IGN says Feb 18th... does the email have an actual date for this game? I've been hoping they'd port it to PS2 since I first heard about it, and now I'm super-stoked as this will hold me over until I can afford a PS3 to play the new one.

hmmm, one thing I didn't consider is that the PSP version has online play for 4 players. I wonder if it will be direct port or if they will update the number of online players. Also, will they implement the dual stick controls of previous R&C since the PSP version had you control the camera with the shoulder buttons (which actually worked pretty well)

I know the ports of the GTA games (Liberty City and Vice City Stories) both had their controls altered to be more similiar to the console versions. Here's to hoping that the same is done with this.

BTW... these games are the three reasons I'd buy a PSP. With them all on the PS2, I have no reason to buy a PSP. Great job, Sony!
