Well Breakdown has only used his missile in vehicle form. He also has the saw so it's not like he doesn't have a transforming weapon

 

Nope. He shot it at Bulkhead when he and Airachnid teamed up and fought Arcee and Bulkhead. I think he shot it at Airachnid too in the same episode.

The rockets slower than the laser, which might be why we see the laser more often...

Actually he used it in Operation Breakdown and Metal Attraction in Robot form.

As for KnockOut I'm thinking its a medic thing with melee weapons. Just he has the lasers in Vehicle form for occasions like in Speed Metal. Reason I say this is he doesn't use them for long, even runs off after Arcee jumps on him without firing - so I'm wondering if they are limited.

Most likely. I also want to note that all the weapons the medics have displayed could also have medicinal uses.

They're really more like weaponized surgical tools if anything.

 

Yeah that Saw of Knockout's was definitely going to Surgically remove Bulkhead's well head.

 

I'm surprised (and disappointed) that KO didn't use his Energon prod on other occasions other than his debut episode. I LOVE that weapon.

 

Yep. Knock Out has the buzzsaw, Breakdown has a pair of hammers.

 

Knockout got a bunch of weapons actualy. He had Vehicle mode lasers, he has the staff, he has the saw and he transformed his arm into a drill in his first episode.

Breakdown seems to be good too, he got his hammers and his shoulder cannon can both shoot lasers and launch missiles.

 

The show's not over yet. I hope he uses it again  . I also REALLY hope the toy has it

 

Ratchet is a medic, now, but what was he before the came to Earth. We know that he can fight--he fights very well—and that aside from Optimus, he appears to be one of the older Autobots. I suspect he was a fighter like all others on Cybertron when all hell was breaking loose.

In terms of Ratchet being weaponless or lacking weapons, I must disagree. His greatest weapon is his mind. A doctor knowledgeable of the Cybertronian body is more dangerous than you think. They armed with knowledge of pressure points, weak points as well as little known unshielded/lightly shield kill points.

 

Yeah, kinda disappointed to see his buzzsaw "replace" his prod as his main weapon. It's kind of underwhelming, and reminds me too much of Movie Ratchet.

 

Maybe it had something to do with him being an ancient cybertronian warrior who was in stasis for so long. He didn't get the chance to upgrade, perhaps?

Yeah, she basically just shoots lasers from her palms, much like her webbing.

 

I'm seeing posts talking about the energon prod that Knockout used in Deus Ex Machina, but as far as I can remember, there were some Vehicons using the same weapon, meaning it wasn't just Knockout's weapon

Well from Starscream's explanation it sounds like he's one of the survivors of that conflict that created the bodies Megatron resurrected in episode 3. Do we know how long ago that battle took place?

It's a nice touch that Ratchet's melee weapons (blades) look like Exacto knives or scalpels or precision blades... Medic and scientist indeed...
