So what would people say are the top rarest G1 figures to have and where would you say a browning is placed on that list.

Of those released, the three biggest ones I have heard have been Minerva, Artfire, and Grand Maximus. Ricochet/Stepper WAS on the list until Hasbro/Takara over-released his reissue killing the rarity and value.

There are some pretty rare foreign minibots that have been released. Some with only one or two known examples in collectors hands, many with less than 50 or so. Some rumored to exist, but not seen in years.

Not to be anally retentive but depends if you class them as G1 - they're molds that were used in G1 but are they part of the G1 toyline? Debatable in some cases!

I'm referring to toys released during G1 in any market. Prototypes or one offs can't really count
I'm referring to production figures. I thought of browning because he's a cool gun figure like megatron but ilI couldn't find any on eBay.

For the Brazilian, maybe, even though they were marketed and labled as transformers. But the Mexican IGA, Rulipas, Lynsa, etc.. were indeed Transformers. Sold on official Transformers cards, with Transformers character names, faction symbols, everything. As official as any Canadian red Slag, Finland Tracks, MB red Tracks, etc...

Oh, absolutely. I was more thinking of the obscure Brazilian / South American minibots. The Mexigan IGA stuff etc., absolutely agree they're official Transformers.

Let's rephrase the question to rare figures with the highest value G1

Lol, you haven't priced out rare minibots have you? Rare ones loose can go WELL over the $300 mark, carded ones with poor-fair condition cards can easily fetch $1000+, some of the very rare carded figures I can see going for much, MUCH more.

I'm just trying to figure if I got a good deal on a figure I purchased today. I was fortunate enough to purchase a MISB Browning but couldn't find anything on him value wise online or in the price guides.

    Just ask that question then.

"What's the value of a MISB browning?"

Answer: whatever someone pays for it.

And you have to go ONE HUGE ROUND just to throw out this question? :lol

Is that the Japanese Masterforce version? If so then there was an Unused specimen that got sold about 4 months back. (USD $1,500 if I remembered correctly)

Being MISB, then your value would be higher, theoretically.

Browning is rare, but I remember seeing a lot of him few years back and his prices ranged between 700 - 1000 for MIB used or unused.

A few very rare combiner giftsets, White Headmasters, Minerva, Artfire, Stepper and some US targetmasters like Cyclonus or Hot rod. I actually saw a MIB unused targetmaster Hot rod for 300 this year and didn't get it...

Reissuing a toy does not kill the rarity of the original. It can't. However it can (and did in this case) affect the desirability of the original toy

Yeah I know I was taking the indirect route to my answer lol. It is the masterforce version. I would say the box would grade a AFA 85-85+.
