I dunno who he is, so I'm just going to go ahead and assume that this guy is famous, or perhaps infamous, for creating off-the-wall shit in transformers-land.

 

Nope, he's famous for writing the latter half of the Marvel run and the Marvel UK run. He's praised within Transformers. I mean, the Marvel UK run was awesome, but Furman also made Spotlight Arcee, and, well, this....

I have no problem with transgender TFs, but he made Arcee a former male(Galvatron's twin) that Jhiaxus forcibly experimented on to turn him into a her and she went insane and became a psycho murder bitch.

 

Oh.

 

Murdercee was my favorite part of the Old IDW. Along with her equally unhinged twin brother.

Here's my first world problem of the century: do you ever get the sudden urge to mess around with your figures, but they're all left in such cool poses you just can't bring yourself to move them a little?

 

Well, people who have been understandably complaining about G1 overkill must be pretty pleased to see Beast Wars, Prime and some brand new characters show up. Are you guys hoping to see them continue this multi-iteration toy trend?

 

I'm primarily G1 but I see no reason we can't continue getting something from each. I'd happily buy the G1 Pretender Beasts redone as Beast Wars figures.

Catilla could easily be repainted from Tigatron though I'd hope he'd keep his G1 style robot face rather than the feline aesthetic of Tigatron's robot face.

Hopefully we'll get a Needlenose soon to go with Quake and Spinister.

I would have preferred Prime Brakedown had been a repaint of Off Road like the hard to get Japanese figure. Plus Prime Brakedown, Knock Out and the Vehicon drones were all retroactively made G1 by IDW.

On the other hand, my wallet could use a break. The last 5 years have been a golden age for G1 updates and while I'd like to see pretty much every remaining G1 character similarly updated, I wouldn't mind a breather. There are plenty exclusives I want to pick up but the retail figures being released have been relentless.

It really bugs me that Transformers didn't bother to Celebrate their Anniversary at Comic Con last year unlike Gundam.

 

Absolutely. Most of what I'm currently wanting comes from some source outside of G1 and Kingdom is going to be an extravaganza even if I mostly buy the Selects beasts. Gobots are on the list too, which is great. Bugbite is a humorously deep cut.
