I've watched a compilation of world landmarks being destroyed in disaster films and besides noticing that the Golden Gate Bridge gets tortured a lot (especially in movies made in the last 20 years), I'm starting to wonder if we're going to see the Battle of the Bay from Earthspark in some kind of flashback scene, maybe with the Golden Gate Bridge being partially destroyed.

So Bumper, according to tfwiki, transforms into a (chibified) Mazda Familia 1500XG.

But Mazda Familia's wikipedia page has no mention of any 1500XG? But i did find this one miniature photo labeled as 1500XG, and a poster labeled as XG. Could somebody shed light onto this matter? Did they have some other name that wikipedia could be using?

Wouldn't be surprised if it were a Japanese market automobile, not at all uncommon. Don't limit your research to Wikipedia if you're honest about finding answers from around the world.

Run it through Google Translate - Famous cars of the Showa era 74] Mazda Familia Hatchback 1500XG: 1980

1985 Mazda Familia 1500 XG Hatchback

Much like the Cliffjumper based off the Daihatsu Copen.

Kind of wish we could throw the colors of Starscream's first MP into the Seeker recolor rotation.

Man, I had forgotten about MP Greenscream. He is not a very good Starscream, but it's a unique deco to be sure! I need to track down one eventually, he always seemed like a neat figure.

And for a prospective Seeker name, maybe Airfoil?

I like the name, and I’d argue that if it was to be used for like a live action movie with G1-styling it would be quite cool since it would mean his jet mode more or less blends in but the newer one is for sure better for those who want cartoon accurate

Sometimes I wonder what it would be like if Hasbro pulled a “He-Man Revolution” and made a full season 4 for G1 like it was originally intended. 2D designs and all.

They could also go the route of William Gibson's Alien 3 or The Star Wars and make comics of the scripts. Less production cost and less grueling production schedule. I believe a few other film / TV script proposals have also been adapted to the comic book medium.

Oh neat, there's a whole page dedicated to such projects on Wikipedia.

I really appreciate Ken Christiansen's artwork, and he did these character studies for what I assumed are the aligned / Pop-up universe designs... and they're pretty damn sweet. Would love to see more in this sorta style.

If Alpha Trion had a G1 figure, who could he be a redeco of?

I'm trying to come up with something that leaves the color placement as intact as possible, and that could have room for the beard. His lack of canon altmode makes this harder.

I'm trying to come up with an actually functional design/kibble reference, like i did with the female Autobots and Devcon.

Maybe, but Scourge's alt looks cursed. His face is just there. I'm trying to find out if anything else would work.

I was also trying to come up with something that could maybe also be passed off as an Earth device with some squinting/artistic license (like my female Autobots except Elita are Earth modes, even if it's the other way around).

I think you'd be hard pressed to find another one whose kibble and what not work. But fair enough.

I gotta ask you when was the last time you saw a G1 Sourge toy?

his face does get a cover flap
    upload_2023-11-20_11-5-42.jpeg
Well, contrary to popular belief Scourge Was supposed to be a hovercraft more like Seaspray than any of the flying plane Deceptacons

If you don’t like it, I can understand but in the end, I still think Scourge Would be at least the most robot looking just in toys if you were looking to try to do A3/Alpha Trion

Oh. I've only really seen him in the cartoon where his and The Sweeps' faces are exposed. I didn't check out the toy because i assumed it was the same, because usually the toy is worse than the animation model and not the other way around.

I was just wondering if there was any 1980s or older motorboat the altmode could get passed off as. The head thing coming off certainly helps

EDIT: Turns out that finding specific hoverboats and their manufacturing years is hard. "(Year) hovercraft" is getting mixed results and i can't actually be sure of the decade.
