So I lost the arms from my Dreadwind, and after my replacement arrived I started wondering what to do. I could just make new forearms but that would be boring. Those big wings held on by plastic pegs sure did look promising... A little research and some CAD work gave me this: I'm using Slag's head because it fits the blocky look of Ramjet a little better; it doesn't quite work, though, and I may design a completely new one. And I plan to paint him in G2 colors. Oh--I also clipped off the small purple wings at the feet and worked the dark gray wings loose so I could fold them flat in alt mode.
I could maybe shorten the arms a tad, but I kinda like the look; it gives the 'bot mode a different look from the base figure. I might add a chamfer to the corners of the fist-cover plates, those are bit severe now that I look at them...
Update: a minor tweak (Ramjet's tails are vertical, not slanted) and printed both wings...next step: painting!
A bit of paint. Wait, G2 Rammie has teal fists!? d'oh! My teal is still on order anyway. And I need to paint more of the center body, but I think all that black would be boring...what the heck, itsa my damm figure, monkey-boy, I'll paint it how I like!
