Well, it looks like the rally car is just a car in the movie after all. According to Siebertron, it's listed as an "off screen hero" under the 1-step changers wave 4.0. Here's the link:

What bothers me more is that the mini Optimus/Grimlock is only included in an event.

 

Snarl is an 'off screen hero'

Hot shot is the Crosshairs mould.

I like the sound of,

Breakout scene 3 pack, White Prime, Rollbar and Crankcase

 

And it also says that Snarl is a off screen hero so maybe he's not in the movie same thing about Slog.

 

So, they but in Rollbar and Snarl, two offscreen characters, but did not put Stinger, Vehicons, Wolf, and Junkheap in the line?

Aside from that, I'm a little surprised the Sonic is not a TF.

 

They are making an deluxe Stinger and it says that Steeljaw is actually Wolf but decided to change the name for some reason

kinda disappointing that such a sweat car mode is because shafted for a regular human car, then again i guess the "human mysteriously gets robotic car" storyline has already been used, so, I'm cool with it.

 

Yep, I'll hold my hands up and admit my suspicions were wrong. I got the feeling this was probably the case when we saw that the Skids repaint was definitely in the Breakout Scene set after all. Kind of a shame that he's not getting a new Generations mould regardless of the fact he's off-screen as it would've been nice for them to offer a proper licensed version of the vehicle mode, especially as they basically have a free-for-all licensing deal with GM.

 

We did not see Stinger today, though. And Steeljaw/Wolf is not in the Generations line. I do hope (And believe) that Stinger is a Generations set being saved for SDCC though.

 

Well, I was wrong. I still believe he was intended to be a TF but was probably cut and they decided to still keep the car as intended. Oh well, I'm more upset that Snarl isn't in and I'm sure Slog isn't now too  

 

Well I was wrong about the sonic. At least it gets a toy and has a name.

 

And so the disappointment begins about some random car with a cool deco not being an actual Autobot, even though the toy may be the only way most people can get the Skids mold with any blue for an affordable price.

We've seen the SDCC sets. There is no Stinger in them.

Yeah I was wrong too- it certainly did look like it with all the promotion it was getting, but personally, I'd rather them just cut the Rally as a TF and go toy-line only instead of pulling another Jolt, if that's what was going to happen.

It was an attractive idea that Shane had a little racing secret up his sleeve haha

 

I'm kinda happy the Rally Car isn't an Autobot and that Snarl isn't in the movie. Nothing against them, but I think it's cool not having a lot of robots in the movie.

 

Well its definitely making my wallet happy lol. I only get bots that are onscreen. Idk why but Im really weird about that.
