I wouldn't see why her character would be in it in the first place.

Her character was kind of annoying anyway.

I don't see why they couldn't find a way. I mean, the original series had a handicapped computer geek named Chip for a few shows. And it worked, even if it wasn't needed.

 

I know, and she didn't say "COURAGE" even once!

 

While I have no doubt they could have made it work, I would have to question if she would really be necessary. Some of the people involved with the development of the movie have already said they would like to give the robots more characterization, so I'd rather they go that route and give the robots more characterization than try to fit Maggie into the storyline. If they do, it likely won't bother me at least. If they don't, again I won't be shocked.

 

Yeah I think we will survive.

Awesome news! I think there are other places you can go if you want hot girls. I'd rather the TFs be about TFs than be another Fast and Furious with dumb bimbos walking around. For example, the KISS players thing, whatever it is, is seriously disturbing...

As far as her character -> door, ass, don't let it hit on way out.

The character was useless. The fat nerdy dude was even more useless. Her entire hacking team was useless. The reason why Chip worked was because G1 was 20 minute shows that FOCUSED on one story of TFs and their friends. The TF movie should not be a collection of 20 minute stories...

I really hope that the writers don't try jamming her into the script just to have her in there. If it doesn't go with the flow of the story, don't force it.

 

No offence to the actors since they can only do the lines handed to them, but most of the human cast needs to be dropped so the movie could be about Transformers rather a bunch of human characters that seem like filler between the robot scenes you payed to watch.

 

You don't count as the majority of the viewing public though. Asking the folks I know who aren't huge Transformers fans they liked the non-robot scenes more than the robot scenes. Everyone seems to have their hopes pumped up sky high by the "more characterization" line that's been fed around, but I still think we need to face the fact that this movie series isn't about Transformers fans. It's about the general movie going public. Two plus hours of Transformers on-screen just isn't ever going to happen.

I'd look for an even balance. About an hour of screentime with Transformers and about an hour without. The powers that be will always believe people need people to pull them into the film. We're not going to see all humans just go away to satisfy the Transformers geeks.

But I'd be happy to see this particular character dropped from the series.

 

I didn't like her charachter in the first place, although if they are going to include soundwave for the sequel, her charachter will come in handy.

I'd prefer they don't try to force the human characters into the new story if it doesn't make sense to do it.

 

There are lots of movies they can watch that have NO TFs then. If the movie is titled Transformers, (supposedly) about Transformers, and made to sell Transformers then I think, gosh darnit, that they ought to steal the show. Call me crazy.

I have this silly feeling that given good writers and a bigger budget TFs could have personality (besides saying "My Bad!" and "What's cracking little bitches?" and peeing on people -- awesome way for your species to introduce yourself to another btw). Its funny how for over 20 years a campy TV show kept this many hardcore fans and a large enough segment aware of TFs. I wouldn't be shocked if an awesome TF-centric story + action + less blurry camera + ??? = profit and growing fan base.

But yeah, like you I'm glad to see her go. Wow, those "hackers" were a waste of time in the first movie.
