Hellboy on Twitter The more I see of it, the more I think that this should really just be a Netflix series...
On the one hand, Ron Perlman's absence is definitely going to be felt and I feel sorry for this poor guy having a pair shoes like that fill. On the other hand, I won't deny I got a smile on my face. Might be because of that jaunty song they're playing or Ian McShane trying valiantly to class up the proceedings or that its set in Britain.
I think one thing that's kind of off visually with this Hellboy is that his hair is down. Which kind of makes him look more like a hobo than the pseudo-demon samurai look he had in the Del Toro films.
Just watched the Trailer and yeah I'm going. There's something about the Hellboy face makeup that makes the jaw too square.
I just don't like the look of Hellboy. This new version looks like... I don't know... a zombie version of Hellboy. His mannerisms (granted, from snippets in the trailer) just don't feel like Hellboy either. I wasn't a big fan of Pearlman's version either.
I saw the new trailer today when I saw Aquaman and it looked all right. I don't get why everyone is upset that it's not Ron Perlman, I mean we knew this was the case like two year's ago, but whatever. He seems to be comic accurate as far as I can tell from what the trailer showed, so that works in my book. Now what I'm not sure about is the casting of Shane Black for his father as John Hurt looked like he was ripped right out of the comics.
I thought they said this was supposed to be closer to the comics? The del toro version already did the characters wrong and this one just seems to continue that mischaracterization. Looks like trash. I was super excited about a new one as I’m a big fan of the comics , but whatever, I’m just gonna pretend this one doesn’t exist.
New Hellboy Movie Posters Warn Not to Mess With the Devil Cool posters. The tagline for the poster on the right could be better though.
I never read the comics. I saw both Hellboy movies prior to this and liked them both. The trailer for this made me smile, laugh, and be a little excited. I will see this w/ an open mind and hopefully be entertained.
Cool poster art. The missus and I are still interested in seeing this especially if it leans closer to the source material than the first two movies did.
